Dress Code - Hair dye

Do most hospitals still follow the “only naturally occurring” hair color policy? My hospitals dress code policy says nothing about color, only that is must be pulled away from the face and appear “professional”. I bought dark blue/black (phot of assumed collar result attached) hair dye and didn’t even think about it potentially being an issue until just now. I tried calling HR but they were closed for the day.

Worked at in patient psych hospital a few years ago. Nursing supervisor who was white haired used to color a small section pink, purple, blue, orange etc. The picture you posted actually looks nice.

The hospitals I've worked at have not allowed unnatural colors. I have seen people get away with it a few times, though ...when it's pulled back neatly and conservative-looking except for the color.

It’s been a mix but hospitals that had issues with fun hair colors and/or tattoos had it clearly spelled out. I imagine regional culture will be a factor tho. My current hospital has no issues with either (as long as there’s no profanity/racist imagery im tats).

I have blue hair and gauged ears. I'm the manager, though, so who's gonna complain? ?‍♀️

Do these comply with the dress code/appearance policy at your facility?

OP, all of these would be fine, at least at my facility.

That's a rather attractive picture, JMHO.

H O W E V E R, you might want to ditch the photo (assuming that it's a REAL pix of you). And not sure about your screen name. Anonymity for social media is preferable, esp when everybody & anybody reads and can respond here.

Might that just be the hair dye box???

And welcome to AN.

The first picture is not the OP - she posted several pictures of herself later in the thread but they have since been removed.
