I'm officially finished with my program and waiting to take the NCLEX. Woohoo! Nursing school was not easy. I hardly know what to do with all the time I have off now. Can't decide whether to loaf around and sleep for a few days, or catch up on all the social activities I've been missing since I started school.

Very nice, you did it! How long do you have to study for the NCLEX?

Not sure if you're talking to me but I'll answer anyway :p I have 3-5 weeks to study depending on when I get my ATT and when I test. I just want to test before Feb 3rd if at all possible as I leave to go on vacation that evening and want to be done before then.

Congrats!! I graduated on 12/12 and boy it's not real yet! We have to wait for our ATT here as well, we've been told late January too. We have our Kaplan live review first week in January, I can wait to get it over with!

what is the ATT and how does it help with NCLEX studying?

An ATT is an Authorization to Test. It is not a study tool. It is the approval from your state's BON that allows you to schedule and take the NCLEX. The ATT allows Pearson Vue (the company that administers the NCLEX) to know who is allowed to take the test.

Wow, I'm surprised you guys are expecting your ATT by January. My school says the earliest we can get it is in March!

I got my ATT much quicker than I anticipated - 7 days after graduation! I don't want to wait to long to test but I also want to have a minute to study. So I scheduled my exam accordingly. Suffice it to say, it won't be this month. :-)

Congrats on finishing nursing school! I wish you best of luck with your future journey as a nurse. Can you give me a brief description of what the last semester was like for you? I start my final semester in January and I'm excited and nervous at the same time about what the semester will be like.
