Dominican University of California Fall 2021

Thank you so much for opening up the thread. I recently submitted my application as a transfer student. I will be done taking public speaking and anatomy & physiology by the end of March. I don’t have much volunteering hours.
This is my first time to apply for nursing and I am so nervous.

@Jade2010 I'm applying as a transfer too! I don't have much volunteer experience either. I did sign up for a CNA class that starts in a few weeks to get the ball rolling.

@Tyler Doblado I believe we should hear back some time between May and June. I could be wrong. *shrugs*

Nice. That's a good plan. I was looking for a CNA program. Which program are you going to attend?

I am getting a good grades from pre-requisite classes so far except English composition and Statistics. Those two are lowering my GPA so harshly. My science GPA is 4.0 so far. I haven't taken micro yet. How about you guys?

For prerequisite GPA, I have a 3.8-4.0; depends on which classes they transfer over. 4.0 for science classes. I don't think you have to worry too much about Statistics as it's not a required prerequisite. ?

I've already applied to several schools in CA this application cycle and was waitlisted. Praying for an acceptance from Dominican.

Your GPA is competitive. Hope we all get in. Thank you. I got C on those two subjects (English Composition and Statistics) but the other classes are all A. My prerequisite GPA is 3.83. I attended multiple colleges so I am not sure how they are going to get a cumulative GPA from it.

Which school did you apply to so far? I just submitted to Dominican and I am going to apply to Samuel (deadline is July 1st; I remember) and several more at the end of this year. I live in Petaluma and I am hoping to get into the Dominican.

I applied for Fall 2021. I am so nervous. I think we will find out end of April or Beginning of May. The tuition deadline is June 1st for nursing students, seems we should know before that.

Thanks for sharing it. I am nervous too. Yeah, that makes sense. They will accept 40-50 students a semester. Hope we all get in. ?

Were you guys able to upload unofficial transcripts in the application portal?

I don't see a place to submit my prerequisites/transcripts.
