Dominican University of California Fall 2021

Hey y'all,

Starting a thread for students applying to DUofCA's BSN program for Fall 2021 to share questions and concerns. Application deadline is Feb 1st for Freshmen and March 1st for Transfers. Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone received a decision from the school yet?

I haven't. You? 

I just completed two pre-requisite classes and I am waiting for school to post my final score and I will have to send the result to Dominican.

Nope.  I think we will hear in the middle of April.  Last year people posting for Fall 202 heard around 4/12.  I hope they decided earlier.

Yeah, hopefully, we hear back soon. Did you apply to any other schools? or are you planning to apply to other schools?

So far this is the only program I applied to

I'm not quite sure about tuition but I have heard that Dominican is very generous when it comes to scholarships

Hey! 

Did anyone else get something new on their checklist on the portal? I recently noticed something new on my checklist and was wondering if anyone sees a change on their checklist?

I messaged the transfer counselor and they said beginning of May, but I think it'll release probably end of April.

I think that's the price for one school year. You'll divide that by 2 and that will be the cost per semester.

I am comparing with Samuel merritt and I almost get scared by the amount of money. Thanks for your response. 
 What changes did you see on your checklist?

that’s nice to hear. Tuition is quite expensive and I was worried about it.

I’ve submitted everything and noticed that it says Spring 21 San Mateo County School District as “awaiting”. 

I emailed the transfer counselor about my application and about the new “awaiting” on my checklist; he said my application was being reviewed and not to worry about Spring 21’ because we are currently in it.

Not sure if that’s a good sign that they want my grades this semester but also confused why they would want those grades unless they are pushing my application forward. ? just anxious
