Dominican College ABSN / WABSN program 2020

Hello everybody!

I recently applied to Dominican College WABSN 2020 and would like to meet current applicants, current or former students. The weekend program is very convenient for working adults, that is the main reason why I chose it. However, there are no reviews about this program, I would like to read about others experience and thoughts about the school/nursing program in general.

Hi!

My friend actually graduated from the 12 month program a few years ago. He said it was good. Really tough but doable. He liked the professors. The classes are each given one at a time for a few weeks each. He had trouble with the nclex after but after he got a tutor it was alright. He had no trouble finding a job and is now going for his Nurse Practitioner degree with another school.

I have applied for the weekday program for May 2020. When I spoke to the program they said acceptances will be going out in November.

Do you mind sharing your gpa and when you applied?

I haven't gotten anything yet but hoping for some good news before Thanksgiving!

Thank you! I applied sometime in August. I received my acceptance to the school in September and the official acceptance to the nursing program yesterday. I have an undergrad GPA of 3.73 and a MS GPA of 3.8. The director told me that acceptances start at the end of November so yours can be on its way! Just in time for Thanksgiving! Let me know!

My GPA is no where near yours though lol but I hope it's enough

Did your acceptance get mailed to your house?

Also did you already complete the writing test?

I know mine is a 3.3. I am worried and I applied in November and got accepted to the school. Now I am waiting for the nursing school decision.

Did you take the writing exam already?

Hello! Yes, it was mailed to my house. And I have not taken the placement exam as of yet. I will soon.

You do not need to take the exam before an acceptance to the nursing program. I had emailed and asked the same question and they told me to take it as soon as possible. I have not taken the writing exam as of yet and I got accepted to the program.

Hey by any chance did you hear back?

I applied in October and still waiting for my decision. One time I called and they told me decisions go out mid-decemeber
