I didn't pass and would like to keep it private. I'm not embarrassed but I like to keep things like that private, especially since I wouldn't want any pressure of pity, negative energy coming my way, WHEN i take it again. My mom is nurse and she happen to run into an old teacher who happen to know I didn't pass? I contacted state and asked if they send results to the school and she said they didn't. How do they know?
Also, I checked the state website and my status still says pending. I don't know what's going on my but my mom said my teacher happen to announce this in front of her patient and her co-worker. I'm starting to think someone knows and it spread...

Our school doesn't get our individual results, but I know that they keep track of the pass rate % of each class for accredidation purposes. I'd be interested to know how that instructor knows. And I'm sorry you didn't pass.

In California, anyone can search someone's name on the BRN website to see if that person passed. Our professors told us that they will look for our names and also send us surveys to know if we passed. Not sure about other states, but it might be the same.
Good point- didn't think of it that way. Anyone can search the Arkansas BON as well :)

Sorry to hear your results. Doesn't sound very professional to announce in front of a patient. Stay positive! You passed nursing school, you can pass the NCLEX!!

I believe it depends on the institution. I know my school does not get our results, but they do stalk the BON website to see who has passed and when.

Not all schools have access to the NCLEX results data, though it does seem odd that they would be discussing your results with a third party unrelated to your education.
Your school, has the option to subscribe to the NCSBN program reports which detail NCLEX data about their graduates. Not all schools participate.

Officials at your school can check the state BON's website and, with some common sense, eventually figure out that you did not pass when they see that you have not been issued a nursing license number yet.
