2 years seems like a long time,.....but on the other hand it doesnt. For those of you already in nursing school, do the semesters fly by or is it just one long dragging semester after another???
I have 2 little girls (4 and 2) so Im nervous about how much they'll have to be in daycare and how it will affect them. But hey its only 2 years right?.......

Yes . . . . and no. Looking back, it sure flew by. While I was in the thick of it, it dragged. I was pretty burned out by 3rd semester. That was the longest sixteen weeks of my life. Two years in daycare is only a temporary measure for a greater long-term good. I wouldn't feel too bad. It's what has to be done and it's not forever. Good luck!

As tough as first semester has been, I think it is flying. We have 3 weeks left. After the initial shock wears off it becomes pretty routine.

I'd say so. I only have 3 days left of the first semester.

I'd have to say I think mine has moved pretty fast...for the most part, last semester was a little long. I think you get so involved & stay so busy that it's done before you know it...I'm going into my last semester of 5. We're now doing NCLEX paperwork & job applications. Counting down to that August graduation! What an awesome feeling!!!

I graduate in a few weeks. It's pretty much been the worst two years of my life, but the one positive thing I can say is that it did go by faster than I expected. You're going around in this haze-like fog all the time: Class, clinical prep, care plans, clinical, papers to write, tests to study for, lab skills to practice, group work to get through, and on and on and on. Over the last two years I've rarely known what day it is, but I've always known what week into the term I am! So on one hand it's been great that I'm emerging from the fires of hell :angryfire and can say "Wow that went by fast," and on the other hand I'm now looking into the face of my 16 year old and thinking... I thought you were only 14!

It goes by fast whenever you have 5 tests and 3 papers due in 7 days. It goes SO SLOW when you think....crap I still have another X amount of weeks of this &%@! before the end of the term.
All in all, my 3 semesters have gone pretty quick, hopefully my final one will goes as quick but I doubt it because....it's the final one and something about watching a pot boil...it will probably drag by......

There were times over the last two years when it seemed like time stood still. However, now that I am nine days away from pinning I can't believe how fast it has gone.

It seems like yesterday when I started, and now I can't believe how much I've changed and learned. It was so fast! I loved it!
