Does the bad pop up for Pearson Vue mean you fail?

Nursing Students NCLEX

I just took the NCLEX-RN today. Tried the PVT and it said "Payment was declined-Contact your financial institution.... Does this mean I failed?

Because they're everywhere

If we hit 10 million pvt question posts, will the pvt start to work again?

I think the 10,000,000th poster should get one of those AN pens that Esme was handing out. :)

Then why don't you avoid the posts that mention them?

Why don't you avoid them?

I did it last week, got the good pop up passed. So did all of my nursing school class. Not sure if this means it works ALL the time, but it does work. You have to use a valid card and be prepared to pay the 200$ which if you are going to take the test again you are going to pay again. Parts of This thread just goes to prove that nurses really do eat their young haha.

I completely agree with you that the responses you will get for this are ridiculous and out of line. They claim to be here to help guide people and provide "facts" but in my opinion they're just being *****.

I find your contribution that it was successful for you and your class relevant. The fact that you have actually done the new PVT yourself means you have more first-hand experience with it than most of them.

Wow, YOU are out of line! I have never curse or used strong language at you. The fact that I have a license means we are all on equal playing field when it comes to the NCLEX & PVT.

Her posts only proves that people are risking $200. Why are you so emotionally involved in this? Are you a nurse? Have you taken the NCLEX & done the PVT? What is your deal?

Have you seen my baseball?

Geezus, thanks for being merciful. put some dough in your account ,sug.

It works, look at the YouTube videos but you should have gotten a message something like , you are already scheduled for this exam and it shouldn't even ask you to pay again

No. They've monkeyed with the system. It is unreliable now. This is from before they monkeyed with the system.

Let me repeat, the PVT is unreliable now.

Wait the 48 hours for the quick results and pay $8 instead of gambling $200.

Basic critical thinking, folks.

It isn't your fault, OP, that the regulars here are sensitive, but they have answered this question thousands (literally) of times over the years. Ever since last fall, the PVT doesn't even work half the time, and a lot of people persist in telling poor new grads to try it.

ETA - OP, also, you actually have to have the money in your account. If it was declined, this doesn't have anything to do with the PVT, it means your transaction was stopped by your bank, and you need to make sure you aren't causing yourself problems with insufficient or unavailable funds.

I have three words for you, my friend. Evidence based practice. This means that you don't take peoples' anecdotes as fact. You actually find out the fact.

For every 100 people the PVT works for, there are at least 20 that it doesn't. If you want to risk being in the 20% that loses $200 bucks, go for it. Just know that we aren't going to be sympathetic when you come on here saying that the PVT didn't work and that Pearson stole your money. 'Cause we told you so.
