Do you find it "fun"?

Did you think nursing school would be fun? If you did, how has it turned out so far?

I never thought of any of my schooling as "fun." However, it was a way to a better job and more opportunities.

I didn't know what to expect/think beforehand as to "fun," but, yeah, I'm finding it very fun, quite honestly. Learning lots o' stuff (almost too much ;) ), made new friends/acquaintences, doing well grades-wise (so far....) ..... it's fun for me, but learning comes first and foremost. If I wasn't learning, or doing poorly, then surely it wouldn't be as much fun. I'm in a great class, we all get along as well as folks thrown together can be expected to .... I like clinicals, I like skills lab, and I like classroom learning ..... and I really like my fellow nursing students ..... fun stuff !!!! .......imho

i did :D

make sure to join and [color=mediumturquoise]participate in your assoc of student nurses...we did some fun projects.

i also was the "go to" student for faculty appreciation luncheons, etc.

you know what they say about "all work and no play"??

I don't think "fun" is the word, but I'm definitely having an awesome NS experience.

I did think I would enjoy NS because I enjoy learning. Also, I really wanted (and want!) to be a nurse, so putting the two together, I was hopeful. There have been disappointing moments, but a lot of those have helped to make me a better person. I've grown in ways that I can't believe (learned some stuff about myself, etc.), and so NS is very gratifying for me.

I do believe in the "work hard, play hard" theory. Since I consider NS an investment in my career, I can't exactly say it's my fun time. I'm very happy about nursing, and plan to continue on with school while working as a nurse. So, yeah, feel very blessed and happy.

OMG I hated LPN school! The RN program was ok mostly because I knew what to expect I guess. Doesn't matter because it was over soon enough. :D

I am enjoying learning the things I didn't know. Learning is "fun" and its all on what you make of your experience.

I do find it fun. I'm sure I would find it less fun if I was barely passing ubt to me I love all the morsels of information and I love getting out on the clinical floor and figuring out the patients and how all the pieces get together.

Oh and my advice for clinical. Treat the CNA's like your equal and you'll find they'll like working with you and won't dump on you and help you when you can find the supplies you need etc.

Thats not a dumb question. :)

I am not sure what APN means. SPN is student practical nurse. CRNA is Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Its an advanced form of nursing like Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, etc. Currently in my area, there is a Master's degree for it that is 20 something months that you can take once you get your Bachelors in Nursing. Its supposed to be the or one of the highest paid nursing fields.
