For anyone interested, there is a show on Discovery Health Network that covers this very thing. It was on last night. I would bet it's probably going to be on again soon...or so I hope since I missed it.
I assume that you mean the one about Does Prayer Heal - well, I wont spoil it for anyone that hasnt seen the show yet - but if anyone WANTS to know the outcome or doesn't get that channel email or PM me and I will tell you - ok

Yep, that's the one. I gotta see when it is on again because I am really interested in seeing it (no, don't want to know about it!:) )
I work in a busy ER in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. I don't really believe that anyone working in an ER could not believe in prayer, either their own or their patients and families. I have seen too many miracles and answered prayers to list them all but I remember a lady brought in on Christmas Eve so badly burned that we thought she could never survive. She cried not for herself but for her two children lost in the fire and asked us all to pray for them with her. We did amongst many tears. She survived and praise God that one of her "lost" children appeared 20 minutes later brought by friends who had found her in the back yard.
Wow! Great story! :)
I totally believe in the power of prayer! I have been blessed many times because of prayer. Quick example: When I was a month old my biological mother threw me against the wall breaking my arms and legs. The doctors where sure I would never have use of my arms. My adoptive parents got me when I was just shy of two months. They thought I would be handicapped forever... Long story short, someone prayed for me and...(well, I'm typing this right now, aren't I? :) )
I do believe in the power of prayer. But right now, I am having "issues" with praying and my belief in God. I still believe in God and I know He does good things, but given what my husband and I have been through for the past 19 months...my belief has been shaken:stone
I prayed before I got pregnant and during my pregnancy, and after Blake died..I tried to pray...but I stopped-I felt like none of my prayers were being answered, and I still feel like that to this day.

I'm sorry to go on about me....
I too have never had to deal with this issue and probably would be confused and frustrated at God. But I believe that we encounter things in our lives to learn from each experience. Ask God what it is that He may be trying to teach you and look for the answers that way. God doesnt always answer our prayers the way we want them to be answered, but in a way that fills His purpose for this world. Maybe to council other people that have dealt with this same crisis. He can use your experience in magificant ways. To help others deal with the death of a child. He may bless you just with the experiences that you encounter.
I will pray for you and your family to find the answers that He has in store for you. I pray that he will continue to light your way in the difficulties that you face. :)
