Did you Vote today?

Published

I will vote at 9 am after I get off of work.

My question is two fold,

1. Did you vote today or are you going too?

2. I have voted for Republican, Democrat and different 3rd party members. Do you lean towards one Democrats or Republicans. What is your biggest issue?

This is just a friendly question, that it would be a good topic for today.

Actually, I voted a week ago by mail in ballot. I picked a mix of Republican and Democrats depending on how I feel they have been doing in my state (Arizona). We also had a ton of petition initiatives to sort though so I thought it was important to support and deny those PRN. I hope everyone who wants to vote and is eligible to vote gets out today. Thanks for asking!

I am going to, tonight as my voting precinct is some distance from where I work and I didn't want to have to stand in line so early in the morning.

My biggest concerns are accessibility to healthcare and the proliferation of predatory lenders who are allowed by their buddies in Congress to remain in business.

I am voting for the underdogs in my State. Even though I know they won't win, I look at my vote as the only voice I have to initiate change in a

country where Big Money and Corporations are now running the show.

Getting down off my soapbox now and going to work. Bye.

I voted for both democrats and republicans. I focus on the important issues rather than democrat or republican.

I'm on my way to vote right now. I vote for each candidate individually, not for a party.

I voted on my way in to work this morning. In the past, I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats in various elections. However, in this election, there are 2 races in my region -- one for Senator and one for my Congressmen.

For the congressional race, the Democratic incumbant ran with no opposition -- but I voted for him anyway to show my support for the positions he has taken on many controversial issues. I would vote for him against just about anyone who run against him -- which is probably why the Republicans didn't even bother running someone against him.

For the Senate race, I also voted for the Democratic candidate because I think the Replican incumbant is unworthy of the position. I disagree with his positions on most major issues.

I also voted against the amendment to make it illegal for the state to recognize any unions except for a standard marriage of a man and a woman. e.g. A man and a woman who lived together for many years and had children etc. could not have any kind of legally recognized relationship except for a traditional marriage.

The other 2 referendums were for technicalities in state laws that were not particularly dramatic nor controversial.

I voted this AM after the morning rush.

There were no real amendments were voting for, so I voted no on most of them. We're choosing a senator and a governor so it's an important day here. I voted Democrat in all caces.

Not yet but will soon.

I will vote for the Republicans running in my state as this is California and most all Dems are on the fringe of the liberal side of things. No "Southern Democrats" to choose from here. :o

I will also vote no on most of the propositions . . . geez, California is also the state of too many props. Anything that raises taxes gets a NO vote from me . . until politicians PROVE they can spend the money we already give them in constructive ways WITHOUT PORK OR WASTE, then they will not get my vote.

In my opinion, you CAN complain if you do not vote. I feel you have no right to complain about someone you did vote for - after all YOU voted for them. I feel you should not just vote for anyone because they're in your party. Sometimes there is no good candidate. You should vote by issue, not by party. A big issue for me is illegal immigrants and whether they should be allowed here.
