Did anyone move back home with parents to finish nursing school?
It's something I've certainly thought about since it would save me a lot of money and help with childcare issues, but I haven't had to as of yet. If it ever comes to it though, I'd move back home in a heartbeat. I've been out of the house for over 10 years but you do what you have to do.
I'm 19 and never moved out from my parents house since the technical college is in the next town from them. I also don't plan on moving out until I graduate in two years, while I don't pay rent to live here I contribute to the house a lot and also carry over 75% of the care for the families new puppy (what can I say she's my buddy)
I own it....so here I am. 60 hours a week at work....+ school...+ football coach....Wouldn't have it any other way.
For those who went back home and have the opportunity for your parents to spend time with your kids....AWSOME. My mom left us last year and I cherish every minute my kids were able to spend with her. I never really knew my grandparents...so I am ever so blessed that my kids got to know their's. You are fortunate to have the opportunity to have your parents there for your kids.
I don't want to but I think I will have to come this fall. I am going to have to leave my job and even though I will be working part-time..there is no way I'll probably be able to make enough to take care of all my bills.
I can move either into my mom's house with her husband or my dad and his family. However, there are a LOT more people at my dad's house..and I know I would not get ANY studying done..so it looks like it might be my mom's.
I haven't asked her..but I'm sending major hints..lol.

We did it! We (My husband, 16 months old son and I) actually moved here to be near my mom and planned to stay with her temporarily but didn't realize just how expensive it is to live here, plus out-of-state tuition) so we kept putting off moving. On February 23rd we will have been living with her for a year. In that year we have paid off a ton of debt and soon we will buy a house and move out.
