Dialysis staff nurse salary in US

Published

Hello,

I just want to ask if anyone here knows the salary or an average salary of a dialysis staff nurse in New York or in any other state in US? Thanks. :)

Specializes in Dialysis Acute & Chronic.

Hey just passing info from a friend of mine who sees all the salaries for RN's where he works at in Texas. He told me that pay can range from $28-33/hr for an RN with say 13-14 years experience.

OMG, you could make more at McDonald's!! A nurse for $10 an hour should be illegal. that is just nuts.

Specializes in Nephrology, Dialysis, Plasmapheresis.

I used to make $25/hr in South Carolina about a year and a half ago. Outpatient clinic charge RN. May seem low, but rent was pretty cheap around there, as well as most things. I started at $21 as a new grad there.

these salaries area crazy low. I work at a blood bank in northern california and get paid 38.00 for doing nothing.

I just interviewed w/a clinic last week in Georgia - -$25.00/hr -

Specializes in Emergency Room, Hospice/Palliative Care.

Although I interviewed over 2 years ago, I was offered 34.00/hr in So. Ca. No dialysis experience but had about one year of ER experience. I declined the job but am hoping to explore dialysis nursing again. 34 seemed low to me at the time. I hope the range has gone up since then. Any southern Cali posters that work in dialysis?

Does anybody know the hourly rates for FMC clinics/hospital, Davita, and VA in San Diego County? I have 11 yrs acute dialysis experience.. Thanks so much!

Specializes in Med-Surg, Ortho, Subacute, Homecare, LTC.

I'm sorry but taking an RN job for 10/hr is bad for the nursing community. Basically by taking it your showing that nurses will accept awful pay for such a responsible position. It's a "slippery slope" as they say.

Hi, Salt Lake City - almost 2 years experience with inpatient and outpatients, charging in both settings as well as new nurse training... making $22

This thread went on for a long time, but I don't think I ever saw the rate for DaVita in NYC? The rate for Fresenius would also be great. Is it the same as I read in some of the posts, time and a half over 8 hours?

So Cal New Grad RN here, no experience, interviewed with Davita today. Told the starting pay was $23.77/hr. Disappointing for sure...hope my other aps pan out...
