December Test Takers Support Group

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So, I finally feel I should not give up......I will be a retaker for 2nd time in December. I felt so low when I failed the test in July'07. I was thinking to take in october but just couldnt get motivated to study. In the meantime, I joined RN-BSN program. So, currently I am in school taking 15 credits of classes. I need to have my RN license before winter so I can do practical in communnity health, a required class for BSN.

After visiting this site almost everyday, reading success stories and encouragement given by one of my wonderful instructor from my ASN program, I am motivated to do it.

So, newcomers as well as retakers, Lets get together, support each other and lets pass the RN test. WE CAN DO IT.

For now, I have started practicing Q&A at least 2 hrs/day from Saunders CD. I will keep you updating and hope you all will share the tips as well.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US. :welcome: TO THE SUPPORT GROUP .

I take the NCLEX RN Dec 12th. This is my third attempt. I've been using suzanne's study plan with the saunders book. I really need to pass this time. My life is pretty much on hold. Third times a charm right?

Just want to wish all of you good luck! I'm hoping that you will receive a great Christmas present, in the form of a nursing license!

Hey all, i will taking mine on dec. 13th. Please keep me in your prayer list. I will definately pray for all of you each and every day. Good luck to all december test takers. God will send us nice gift "RN" this christmas. Can any one tell me what you mean by SATA? thanks

Purna, SATA means select all that apply. Good luck on your exam, I will keep you in my prayer.

to god be the glory..i passed with 75 questions. :balloons::balloons: :nurse::nurse: i am finally a registered nurse.......this is my 3rd exam, the first 2 i got 265 questions. i have 10 sata, about 10-12 meds, 1 maths, some priority questions, infection control, diseases, sign and symtoms and risk factors, teachings few physc, peds and not maternity... i can't believe it when i saw pass on computer. i cried even more than when i failed. it is such a good feeling.

to all dec. test takers..whether 1st timers or you have taken it more than once, don't give up. you are all going to pass. i did kaplan 1st and 2nd time, this time, it saunders 3rd ed with cd, (i did not do suzzanze's plan) did almost all the questions on the cd except for about 400, i also use prioritization, delegation and assignments by linda lacharity i did the ncsbn, i did not actually do the review but answer some questions through a good friend. if i am to recommend.. i will say saunders, prioritization, delegation and assignment, a five star to that book, and ncsbn...any one is good. kaplan did not help me both times.

i will pray for all those who are taking the exam today and who will be taking it this month or next month, that god will favour you. he will favour you, as you enter the building to take your exam, you will come out with a pass. i pray that the lord open the heavens and let his spirit and his angels be with you all during your studies and exam. i pray that he gives you supernatural knowlegde, wisdom and understanding. i pray that the spirit of anxiety and fear die in your life in jesus name. you shall not fail. failure is not your portion and will not be your portion. you will pass in jesus name. you can personalize this prayer, and on the day for the exam, do what i did. i speak to the computer. i said you computer, you must favour me in jesus name. you must give me easy questions, questions that i will be able to answer.. and believe me that's exactly what i got. they were so easy i thought i have fail. they were like knowledge questions. even the sata were easy. you will all make it in jesus name. good luck to you all.

Hi, everyone:

My test is over, I had 76 questions with lots of priority, medications, teaching, who to see first, 1 herb, and 4 SATA. I don't know what to think, keep me in your prayer. Does anybody pass at 76 question, it seems like a unpassing number to me. By the way, does anybody know how long does it take for your name come up on MA BON website if you pass? Thanks!

3 days. Quick result 48hr and the next day, your name will be on MA BON. I am from MA myself just find out i passed this morning...I took my exam on the 4th Dec.

Congratulations, emmsha, way to go, RN! This must be the best Christmas gift for you. Thanks for answering my questions, I was thinking if the MA BON will be sooner than the quick results. I am so scared now, this is my second time to take the test. First one with 265 and failed, this time with 76 questions, lots of priority, some delegations, infection control, 4 SATA, 3 drug cal, 1 herb. I am even scared to check my result tomorrow. Keep me in your prayer, thanks.

Emmsha, Thanks so much for that prayer. I am having a hard time staying focus on doing questions. It seems like everytime I start to do them I get a migraine headache. I will not let Satan have his way, I speak peace into my life and ask God to help me prevail through these questions. I have to stay focus for this is not my first time taking the test either. I am studying from Saunders and NCSBN.

OH I forgot CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry too much, start thanking God, because he has done it already.

I will say do the best you can. I use sanders cd doing question in study mode, in content area,...and I will answer all the question for a particular content. It was easier for me because with study mode, u get the rationales immediately, and i will read every rationale whether i got the question right or wrong. NCSBN is good too, i did some questions from it and they were similar to nclex questions. Yes satan has different ways to distract you,...so please pray, pray and pray. Last week i was at the church 5 days fasting and praying and during those days didn't really study much. But i thank God i was so calm. You will surely make it in Jesus name
