I have a RN license on Vermont that is inactive and was expired March 2011.Since it's a very lengthy process and inconvenient to go to Vermont to take re-entry programs to get my license renewed and then transferred to NJ.Is it possible for me to just take another NCLEX exam here in NJ even if I have an inactive license in Vermont?Hope to clear some things before I make some actions.

Hi.I'm a licensed RN in Vermont but since I haven't practiced nursing since 2009 ,because I was in the Philippines back then,I placed my license in "inactive status". Now I am finally here in the US.My problem is that I wanted to transfer my license from Vermont to NJ(where I'm currently residing and planning to work) BUT since my license in Vermont is in "inactive status" I have to reactivate it again. Now the thing is that Vermont BON requires me to take the "re-entry program" since I could not renew my license without current hospital experience and I graduated more than 5 years ago(2005).Does anyone of you know what to do with my situation or how to go about with the re-entry program?I've heard that I need to have clinical sites lined up first?Is this true?And honestly, I don't know how getting those clinical sites lined up since it's different back in the Philippines.Do I need to go to each hospital to inquire and ask for permition to practice?Badly need someone to shed some light .I really want to work as a RN again but for me to do so I have to undergo all of these process of renewing .I'd gladly appreciate some thoughts.

Hi,i've read that you are taking your exam this febuary..GOODLUCK to you.. Let me share my experiences..Hope you passed too..I spent 3 months for the whole review..Most of the time I spent it on answering lots and lots of questions and reading the rationales even the right one..and i also read over and over kaplan strategies..yes,part of my review for the theories part is that i memorized all labs.familiarize drug classifications and there use,S/E,and most common brand under ea drug classifications cause my weakness is Pharmacology so i focussed on that..I basically read a comprehensive book over and over before i started answering questions..I practiced a lot of questions everyday..300 items a day..that's how i prepared for the exam.. GOODLUCK IN YOUR EXAM AND GOD BLESS..DON'T FORGET TO PRAY HARD AND STUDY HARD..

hi..i stopped at 80+ can't remember exactly..i had 4 SATA's 1 cmputation,and tons of medications,delegations and prioritizations..found out that i PASSED last December 31 btw..i saw my name at Vermont BON site..oh..,where did you took the exam?..I took mine at trident tower makati..oh as i was saying Cali result takes long cause they dont partcipate in quick result.They send result through mail or if you have SSN your name will be posted in their site..Hope you passed too..GOD BLESS.. :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

hi pinoyhunkynurse,i am also a Filipino.I also just passed NCLEX. I stopped at 80+ cant remember exactly.So items answered are never connected in passing the test. Godzhand,I'm sorry to here that..I know its a whole lot harder to accept that you fail cause you've worked so hard for this test. But don't give up. Have faith God has plan in each and everyone of us and He has a purpose why some events happen to us. In time He will grant what you most desire,that is to PASS..Have faith..He will help you.. :yeahthat:
