  1. Keep your head up, caribbeanbeauty. I will keep you in my prayer.
  2. Hi, Everyone: This is my third PPD in the past five years, and it became Positive all of sudden. The NP said that I definitely had a reaction, and the induration is close to 10mm, and she was sure it's a positive. She recommend me to go to a infectious disease clinic and let the experts to confirm whether it's a positive or negative. The thing is I am 6 weeks pregnant and can't have X ray at the moment. I am so puzzled. By the way, I need the TB for my new job. It makes harder especially for my situation: new job, new positive PPD and being pregnant at the same time. I haven't even started my orientation at the job yet. Give me some suggestions, please. I desperately need it. Thanks in advance. Am I able to work before the Chest X ray takes place? I probably should inform my employer, right?
  3. Cherilee, I am a new graduate and looking for a job. I posted my resume on Monster.com, but I didn't get any phone call from anyone yet. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you all for your helpful advices. I had my shadow day on Mon and followed by an interview. It went well in general. Anyway, I am still waiting for them to respond. I will keep you updated and post the interview process once I hear from them.
  5. Thanks a lot, Pat. Those are great advise. I just got informed that the interview would be before the shadowing. Do you have any suggestions on what kind of questions they will ask? What are the benefits working in an OR in your opinion? Thanks!
  6. Hello, Everyone: I was asked by a nurse manager to come in for a shadow day for their main OR without an interview beforehand. I am wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions about it? Any suggestions are helpful at this point. For example, what should I prepare? What kind of questions should I ask? What should I wear? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hello, Everyone: I was asked to go in for a shadow day for the main ER in a big teaching hospital. I have no idea what should I do and what should I wear. I didn't get a interview from them yet. Any suggestions? I desperately need them. Thanks a lot.
  8. Thanks for all of your reply, Sumdae, Adrienne and Beck. I will check the two colleges that you recommend. It's good to know that Simmons and Curry college offer RN-BSN programs. Adrienne, thanks for your helpful advice, I will check the web site.
  9. Wizard, I will keep you in my prayer. I think you still have hope because you got so many medication and priority questions. Keep us posted.
  10. Yoko: I went to several different places for my clinical including: BWH, Youville, Spaulding rehab, a nursing home in east Boston, and a long term pediatric center in Billirica. I liked my experience in BWH, it's a great hospital to work at. The first semester wasn't bad at all, but it took me some time to get used to the pace. The second semester seemed like the hardest one, almost one third of the class failed. The remaining two semesters went well and we didn't lose anyone. As long as you study hard, you will be fine. Let me know if you need any help in the future.
  11. Hi, Babylove: I graduated from BHCC this summer and I have enjoyed it. Good luck with your study, it's a great program.
  12. Hi, everyone: I just got my RN license and am thinking to start my RN_BSN journey. I only know few schools offer this track such as Umass Boston and Northeastern. Any other school out there to choose? Which one do you recommend? Another questions is I am in the process of job searching and will call nurse recruiters in different hospitals. But I am not sure what is a polite way to ask. And someone mentioned it's better to find out the nurse manager's name on the floor that you are applying for, but how? Sorry to ask too many questions, and thank you in advance for your reply.
  13. Iel: I did go over my note during last week and did not do too much questions, maybe 100 questions a day. I made sure I got enough rest and sleep, eat well. Just relax and pray a lot, I have faith in you that you will pass.
  14. I will keep you in my prayer, imhopeful. Your test sounds like a good indicator with lots of higher level of questions. Keep us updated.
  15. I am glad to see everybody is still around and we should support each other until all of us find a job placement. I just passed my test and my name is on the MA BON today, so happy. I will start my job searching from next week, prepare my CV and cover letter, and then call the nurse recruiter of the hospitals. Does that sound a good way to do? I wish we can share some of the interview tips, experience, good web sites, questions and answers that you had at your interview, etc. That would be great help. God bless everybody in the family.
