What is your current 2015 pay as an LPN/LVN?

Hi there! I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has been an LPN for 2 years now and I make $20/hr in home health and $19.30/hr at a detention center plus shift differential. I work full time at the detention center and per diem at the home health. I believe the home health starts off at $18/hr with no experience but the detention center pays the same with or without any experience.

Specializes in VA, Ortho, Med/Surg.

Holy cow, I gotta get outta Tampa, pay here sucks. 15.50-16.00 hr. for home care shift work, at least in peds it is.

Thats awesome. I make 21 per visit no mileage and no benefits in Florida. Need to start looking elsewhere for jobs

Specializes in Neuro/EMU, Pediatrics, Med Surg.

DFW Texas

new grad 12/14

$18+ clinic

$21+ LTC facility

Found jobs right away at both places, but chose the clinic for the hours/days

I'm in the same boat and I don't get mileage and travel pay :(

Home Health Agency $17.50

Facility Staffing Agency $25.00

Nursing home always pays more. The 6 year plan is to get the RN, experience, then travel when the nest is empty!

Virginia

I made $19/hr at an ALF last year with experience. The ALF did no skillled nursing procedures per their license. Currently working home health where it's a flat rate for medicaid patients regardless of years experience. For new grad or ready to retire the pay is $16/hr private duty, some as low as $15

Specializes in CNA, LVN, RN.

I just got my first job! It's $23.00 LTC in Central California (Shafter, CA).

Does anyone know the rate in El Paso, TX? I'll be moving there in a few months.

I am honestly so shocked by what I am reading! We work so freaking hard!! I work two jobs , both at nursing & rehab facilities in NY. I make $25/hr at both but there are places that pay up to 30. I worked for a homecare agency that would pay up to $30/hr for a heavy case.

@Arodriguezlpn how many hours a week at each job do you work?

Hampton Roads area of VA, brand new grad zero experience, $15 hr in a doctors office.

That is really good pay and benefits, what Urology clinic do your work for?
