To state that someone is on a " high horse makes you sound truly bitter how about you take your head out of the gutter and be happy for people.

You can get your point across without being rude.

Good luck to you all I hope you get in.

Good luck to those who are still currently doing A&P 2. Hopefully, you fulfill the C+ requirements so that you can keep your seats. ?

Like I said it's very poor to ASSUME people are rooting for another's downfall. You made a mountain out of a mole hill. BTW I'm never bitter.... You sound defensive over nothing. I said what I said. Maybe you need to scroll up and re-read thread. Have a great day

Guys relax. This is not that serious. Waitlisted students are allowed to hope for a spot without scrutiny. To be fair their should not even be a limit on nursing programs considering that there is a state and national shortage of nurses. I wish the best of luck to those waitlisted and those who got a spot.

It’s hard to read one tone of voice through forums like this...Don’t take things personal on here...The 2021/2022 CTCCNP future applicants will be looking at this thread for motivation, encouragement, curiosity and etc... let’s keep it clean and respectful. Good luck to everyone in their future endeavors.

Calm down people. No need for bitterness. This is a forum for uplifting and positive energy for people who are wanting to be or is in the nursing field. I do understand some people are upset that they are waitlisted. I would be to. But those who did get in I know we are happy and proud to get in. But let’s just encourage each other and spread positivity no need to put each other down.

I don't see where anyone is bitter in this current thread. The problem is someone stated that it poor to hope to be called on the off chance someone fails A&P2 when no one said anything like that. That person got unnecessary defensive. Now if people were actually saying something that cruel then I would be in agreement with her. That wasn't the case. I agree with you

No slander will be tolerated here. If anyone is slandering anyone. I ask that you please don’t become a nurse. Save your soul! You’re in the wrong field

I totally agree. Also they should open up more spots due to the shortage

This is so true.

Everyone, please don't bicker back and forth, o.k.?

We're all on edge over a lot of things in life lately and when we make it personal, it disrupts the topic and doesn't help anyone in the long run.

Thanks and good luck to all.

For thos who don't know there is a formula that the admissions use to calculate your Nursing percentage or rank #

if anyone is interested in calculating thier Nursing percentile this is how

Anatomy 25%

A - 4.0

A- 3.7

B+ - 3.3

B - 3.0

B - 2.7

C+ - 2.3

Let's say your grade is a C+

2.3×25÷4.00= 14.4

TEAS 25%

Let's say your grade is a 53.3

53.3×25÷100=13.3

Nursing GPA 50%

Take away A&P 1 from all nursing related classes and prerequisites (A&P 1 stands alone) = all the fuss ?

Let say your GPA then is a 3.88

3.88×50÷4.00= 48.5

Nursing % = 48.5+13.3+14.4=76.2%

72.2% would be your rank #

So we don’t include a&p1 in the GPA calculation? If that’s the case, I’m at 91.25% ?

You have to include the A&P 1 into the nursing GPA and it also stands alone as 25% of the 100%

Oh, OK. That’s what I thought, but didn’t know how to interpret your post.
