I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...
Teas: 86.7
GPA: 3.27
AP1: B-

Update: I AM OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED TO NVCC!
I went from No. 26 on the waitlist to an official seat into the nursing program! I spoke to the nursing admissions officer over, she said the 2019 cycle accepted 24 students from the waitlist in case any future applicants are curious! Don’t be afraid to contact the nursing admissions office. I emailed her every 2-3 weeks on updates. Good luck to you all!

So I am starting the LPN RN bridge course this month and I have to say I’m pretty nervous not knowing what I’m walking into.. ahhhh! I’m scared of failing.. which is NOT an option.. but just needed to vent somewhere/ to someone.
Thanks,
Priscilla
Hey Priscilla!
I felt the same way before starting in August. I started to wonder if I could actually do this! But I did fine. It's a lot of work, if you manage your time you will be okay. Since you're an LPN it may even be a bit easier for you, but I'm not sure. Good luck!

But on the packet A&P 1 is included in the example of how to calculate a nursing GPA. Are you sure A&P 1 isn't included in the GPA?
Hi! I applied to the nursing program at the Norwalk campus for Fall 2024, and I'm wondering if anyone from past (or current) cohorts could tell me what they think my chances of acceptance are given my stats, and tell me about their experience in the program.
Nursing GPA: 3.37
A&P1 grade: A
TEAS score: 78
I think using the formula someone else provided in another forum, this should make my "points" 86.625/100. Is this typically competitive enough to get into the Norwalk program based on ranking?

I got an email to go in last week. I think they're doing it in three groups of 50, I was in the first. I went in Wednesday, got my books and tried on/ordered scrubs, and a form for Quest which I did Friday for the toxicology. This was CCC, not sure how other school are doing it.
