  1. Update: I AM OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED TO NVCC! I went from No. 26 on the waitlist to an official seat into the nursing program! I spoke to the nursing admissions officer over, she said the 2019 cycle accepted 24 students from the waitlist in case any future applicants are curious! Don’t be afraid to contact the nursing admissions office. I emailed her every 2-3 weeks on updates. Good luck to you all!
  2. Does anyone have any updates for NVCC waitlist? There appears to be two spots left on the Course Search. I know that number could change in the course of the next month. I’m hoping to hear more about the waitlist sooner to help me decide on my next move. Please let me know! Of course, congratulations to those that were accepted!
  3. Congratulations to those that got off the waitlist! ♥️ Update for NVCC waitlist: I emailed the nursing admission contact, the current number of students taken off the waitlist is 21. The next student to be called off is 22! I’m very excited given that I’m number 26. Good luck to everyone accepted or waiting to hear back!
  4. Thank you! I wish the best of luck to you ♥️ It’s a matter of time, patience and constantly looking at my phone for a phone call or email ?
  5. Update for NVCC: The admissions office is still accepting students. The next person to be called from the waiting list will be number 17! There are 13 available seats left based on the course search. I don’t think I’ll make this one, but good luck to those that are waiting ♥️
  6. This is the statement that the NVCC Admission contact had provided from one of the emails regarding the waitlist! ”We will keep the WL open until the start of the semester. At any point between May 8th and any time prior to the start of the program, we may reach out to you and offer you a spot in the program. If we do get to your name on the WL, we will attempt to call you as well as email you at your student email. “
  7. Update for NVCC nursing program waitlisted students: I e-mailed the nursing advisement contact. I was informed that the admission committee has already accepted 9 students off the waitlist.
  8. That’s great to hear the acceptance date was extended. Based on our current situation, it makes absolute sense. My waitlist number is 26. If 116 students were accepted, I will definitely have to try my luck next year. It’s odd how the course search doesn’t match the 116 students that were accepted into this group. Maybe there is a delay. Thank you!
  9. Hey, thank you for sharing this information! Could you please explain what this Microsoft Team group is for? I’m just a bit confused given that the course search still has 27 spots left for NVCC to register.
  10. I’m one of the waitlisted students that is hoping to get off the waitlist. I never hoped for someone to fail a course by any means. There are a number of reasons why someone could decline an acceptance. I can speak for myself to say that I am hopeful to be given the opportunity to be accepted if it was presented. I don’t wish for the failure of others. I am also trying to figure out the next move would be for myself since it’s uncertain whether I’m selected or not. Thank you for your input. I am glad that we can all speak freely on this forum.
  11. Thank you! I’m glad there’s more time than I originally thought there would be.
