I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...
Teas: 86.7
GPA: 3.27
AP1: B-

Has anyone else been contacted by the school that you are waitlisted at or heard anything?
I had spoken yesterday with a member of the nursing dept at gateway (about what I could do to improvise my chances for next year), and I asked if they had already taken anyone off the waitlist yet. She said they were at #10. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and being cautiously optimistic about what that could mean going forward. I’m #28, so there is still a little way to go. People change their minds and plans all the time, though. ?♀️?

Thanks for the update! I'm #27. Hope we both get in!

I asked her stats and they are WAY lower than mines even her TEAS score is 5 points lower than mine......I guess she was one of the 25% that was randomly picked. Call me what you want but that is so unfair.
I can understand that it's disheartened for you the fact that you didn't get in. But every single student that got admitted over the years earned their spot. Whether it be through the ranking process or random selection. Keep your fingers crossed and you might still get a seat. If not retake classes and up your GPA so that you can rank. Good luck .

I was surprised in April you didn't get in as your stats were great. I wonder if their calculations were different. I really hope you get in! If not, I would ask an advisor when they're open again.

25 percent of the people who get accepted get picked through a random raffle.

Yeah, I responded to them too, that was completely uncalled for. They must have a good reason for random selection, but if I had your stats I'd be upset also. You're allowed to have feelings, and you weren't hating imo. Fingers crossed you get in, and if not, next year. But I'd definitely talk to an advisor. I think other people got in not random with very similar stats. IDK if you have all your coreqs, but maybe take them and get all A's to boost your nursing GPA. Best of luck!

Just wish me luck. For your information my stats are pretty damn good, that was my whole point. For you to tell me to retake some classes and up my ALREADY high GPA just proved my point. Sometimes it doesn't matter. Thanks for proving my point

Thank you for understanding. It's a shame you can't even come on here to express your feelings without being attacked. Best of luck to you too! What classes do you need to take?

I'm taking psych 101 starting next week, and then I'm done with all my coreqs! I got in to CCC, supposedly we start in August, but who knows now! Everything is up in the air.
