Hey, thank you for sharing this information! Could you please explain what this Microsoft Team group is for? I’m just a bit confused given that the course search still has 27 spots left for NVCC to register.

Essentially it's an electronic group for the NVCC nursing class of 2022. Not everyone registered yet because there are currently 116 students in the team's group. Apparently students are added at different times. Some students were added last week. I was added today. We are added by the allied health secretary whether we are registered or not. Furthermore accepted students have until June 05 to register.

That’s great to hear the acceptance date was extended. Based on our current situation, it makes absolute sense. My waitlist number is 26. If 116 students were accepted, I will definitely have to try my luck next year. It’s odd how the course search doesn’t match the 116 students that were accepted into this group. Maybe there is a delay. Thank you!

Accepted students have to personally register for classes after their major is changed to Nursing by an advisor. By 06/05 you will have a good idea of the # of seats remaining. Best of luck hun.

Update for NVCC nursing program waitlisted students: I e-mailed the nursing advisement contact. I was informed that the admission committee has already accepted 9 students off the waitlist.

This was recently updated on Microsoft teams. 133 members - 8 owners. 125 nursing students. 20200529_214324.thumb.jpg.5ec3a04290a78c74fa5d3a8a85856730.jpg

Good afternoon!

UPDATE for gateway waitlisted students.

I sent an email out earlier this morning, inquiring about how many students have been accepted off of the waitlist. I just got a response back that they have accepted 17 students off of the waitlist and will be contacting #18 next, if need be!

So close. I'm feeling more and more hopeful. In 2 weeks time they've accepted 7 more people- as someone stated at that time gwcc was on #10.

I'm #25 and now more anxiously awaiting.

I feel like this is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Some weeks I'm feeling very hopeful and patiently waiting for the call. And then I have my down days, wondering if I'll even make it in.

Here's to hoping ladies !

If anyone else reaches out specifically to gateway, please post your update on where they're at on the waitlist. I don't want to be a pest and keep reaching out to them. So if I don't hear anything in about a months time, I'll probably reach out around that time. If you hear anything before then, I'd love to hear any updates !!

Good luck to you all, accepted and those who are still waiting to get called off the WL

I've tried to contact the Gateway nursing director several times and I never get an answer. When the waitlist numbers came out I had anatomy 2 in progress and finished with an A-. So typically I would move up the waitlist and Im trying to get my new number but no answer. Anyone else in this situation?

I doubt you would get a new number. The numbers are tabulated with the application info so I would think the A&P 2 wouldn't count until next application period.

I'm #27 I hope we all get called off. Like you, I have good and bad days. Thanks for keeping up with them. I'm going to call them next week.

We gotta stay strong. But I'm thinking we're gonna get that call. Post your update when you do call next week. Definitely interested in seeing how much it moves in a weeks time

I haven't heard of this. If that's a thing, that's really awesome for you! Great job finishing A&P2 strong with everything going on. I email ----------------------- and she is pretty good about responding pretty quickly.
