I'm applying to Capital Community College's program this November. I'm not too confident about my stats and I cannot find a winter AP I class to better my grade. Anyone else applying? Here are my stats...
Teas: 86.7
GPA: 3.27
AP1: B-

I suspect we'll more likely hear something between May 20th - June 1st, since some people have been conditionally accepted. I check my email once every evening, just to be in the habit of it and also to be sure I don't miss anything. Good luck ! I hope we all make it off the waitlist !!
Thank you! I’ll definitely wait more eagerly until then. I have my phone off ringer ever since I was placed on the waitlist for NVCC.

I look up “Nursing” for the Fall 2020 Term using course search of NVCC (for example) to see how many seats are available.
I think it's really poor to have hopes of being called off the waitlist on the chance that some accepted students do not pass their Anatomy II with a good grade. I have learned in my academic career to accept failure and then work harder for another opportunity and above all wish everyone the best. Look at your grade and re-apply instead of hoping for others to fail so you can succeed. And BTW those taking Anatomy II only need a C+, plus it's online.
Many people apply to more than one program. Some folks apply to both 2 year and 4 year programs Some folks choose to accept an offer from a different program instead of CCNP. In addition, people have unexpected life events, illnesses, family issues. They may decide to decline or postpone their offer for those reasons. Those things can come up into the Summer. You can get called with a number over 30.

That's all definitely true. But the main focus of the argument here is those who are actually currently taking Anatomy 2. I'm sure this applies to some in this forum. Very poor to say something like that.
That’s not what I am getting from the discussion. I think folks were just trying to think of reasons people might drop out of the group that have already been accepted so they can estimate when they might find out. Like I said, I got called in early August last year due to another students illness. I was #36. I decided to wait and reapply. I have been accepted this year without the waitlist. I was notified via a phone call.

I’m one of the waitlisted students that is hoping to get off the waitlist. I never hoped for someone to fail a course by any means. There are a number of reasons why someone could decline an acceptance. I can speak for myself to say that I am hopeful to be given the opportunity to be accepted if it was presented. I don’t wish for the failure of others. I am also trying to figure out the next move would be for myself since it’s uncertain whether I’m selected or not. Thank you for your input. I am glad that we can all speak freely on this forum.
Hmmmm I don't remember anyone stating that they hope people fail AP II..... Someone stated that could be a reason for waitlisted people to be called back. I think it's poor to assume that people are hoping for another's demise. Get off the high horse and get your head out of the gutter.

As stated above this is a forum where people should be able to express themselves freely... Were you on the other side of things you might see things differently. I'm on neither side of the spectrum yet I can still empathize.
To state that someone is on a " high horse makes you sound truly bitter how about you take your head out of the gutter and be happy for people.
You can get your point across without being rude.
Good luck to you all I hope you get in.
Good luck to those who are still currently doing A&P 2. Hopefully, you fulfill the C+ requirements so that you can keep your seats. ?

Good luck!! Don't Give yup! You will get in. I know of a few people who applied to NVCC as a backup plan. Furthermore, a current student told me that people in their year got off the waitlist over #32!
Calm down people. No need for bitterness. This is a forum for uplifting and positive energy for people who are wanting to be or is in the nursing field. I do understand some people are upset that they are waitlisted. I would be to. But those who did get in I know we are happy and proud to get in. But let’s just encourage each other and spread positivity no need to put each other down.
