CSUSM ABSN Summer 2020

Hi all,

Looking to apply this month for Summer 2020! Anyone else on the same boat? I am currently taking my last class so I expect to update my transcript when grades are posted mid-Decemeber. Anyone from previous cohorts had an issue with this?

I'm a little anxious about my points- I'm in the low 30s but hopefully it will be less competitive in Summer/fall!

I have to submit a syllabus for a class to get my class verified from CSUSM. I was curious if anyone knew who I am supposed to send it to? I was thinking of emailing it to [email protected].

I am doing the same (except I applied for Fall). I think that's the right email. What class are you verifying?

I applied for Fall 2020 as well but now it's considered Spring 2021. I am verifying Microbiology! What class are you getting verified? I'm praying they accept it because I really do not want to have to retake pre-reqs ?

I am verifying the writing/critical thinking requirement. I have one course that fulfills either, but since I didn't go to a CSU or CC, the courses aren't exact. Hopefully one of my courses works, since they said all must be done before acceptance. Good luck to you on yours!

My Acceptance Letter says Fall 2020 and my Compolio instructions say I’m in Cohort 37! Woohoo- hi everyone!

So, is cohort 37 all online for the first semester? Are you guys still moving to the area if so? (I applied for what was supposed to be Fall and is now Spring 2021). Just curious.

Yes, it will be all online, but what we don't know yet is if we will have live virtual classes or if they will be more like independent learning. I guess we'll find out when they give us the schedule.

Personally, I might not move until December or maybe even January. (Actually glad I got my acceptance only after the SIP started, so I didn't even have time to plan a move or pay any deposits. ? )

Did anybody get nutrition waived for a class that they took at a CC? My "degree planner" says I have to take BIOL-323, but on my evaluation it said the class I took at my CC substituted this class. Do you think I will have to retake nutrition? I know for some schools you have to take "Upper division nutrition" and a CC class doesnt satisfy that requirement. I hope this isn't the case because I was planning on not repeating nutrition. ?
