Hi all,
Looking to apply this month for Summer 2020! Anyone else on the same boat? I am currently taking my last class so I expect to update my transcript when grades are posted mid-Decemeber. Anyone from previous cohorts had an issue with this?
I'm a little anxious about my points- I'm in the low 30s but hopefully it will be less competitive in Summer/fall!

Congrats to those who got accepted ? I'm really excited for you all! I do have a question...I got a 76% on my first TEAS exam (which obviously didn't give me all that many points) and I'm re-taking it soon...does anyone who got 85% and higher have any recommendations for me for studying cause apparently I didn't study correctly the first time haha. Standardized tests are kind of tough for me and every time I sit down to study I have like no clue where to start!!

Hi Kim
So I got a 78% the first time I took it. The second time I took it I got a 92%. The most important tip I would give you is to give yourself plenty of time to study before you retake it. I took a month and a half to study, and I studied almost everyday for at least 3-4 hours. The ATI TEAS website has study manuals and practice tests that you can buy to help you score better. I would suggest that you use the study manual as a study guide, and then one you're done studying all four topics take the practice tests. The practice tests really help you narrow down what to focus on. Good luck!!?

I paid for the program on ATI. It was pricey, but it helped and I got 87.3%

I can totally relate to the feeling of being scared of standardized testing, I too had to retake the TEAS exam and got admitted with 84%.
I bought the yellow ATI TEAS secrets study book from Amazon to study and further used that to guide my search for Youtube videos on each topic. In addition to that, I found watching videos of people who previously took the TEAS was helpful because they break down each section for you and it's easy to understand what you need know for each and possible questions that may appear on your exam.
I also downloaded various TEAS apps (ATI TEAS pocket prep & ATI TEAS 6 practice test were a good ones) on my phone to receive free daily questions, obviously you can purchase an upgrade and get more questions but I felt that the free ones were sufficient for me.
And lastly, since you have already taken the TEAS, you are familiar with the layout of it but if you want more practice, purchasing ATI's practice exam was really helpful for me in terms of getting over the anxiety of not knowing what to expect. Plus, I found that the scores I received on the practice exams were very close to what I got on the actual exam. It's a good indicator to see where you are and what you need to study.
Hope this helps and good luck ! ?
Thank you so much! I too have the amazon book and just studied from that as well as the pocket prep on my phone for the first time around. I'll definitely check out more Youtube videos! Appreciate the help ?

I just bought the smart prep since I feel like I study better with a bit of guidance!! It was pricey but I think it'll be worth it this time around to really see what I need to work on. Thank you for the comment!

This study group is awesome! There are 35k members! Highly recommend. Lots of people with 90% scores and higher and they share their study techniques!

I’m a current ABSN student at CSUSM Temecula. I also work at the Temecula campus. Let me know if you have any questions. I remember very little about the application process but can answer questions about the program ?
Good luck with your applications!
Hey @corncob. Do you know anything about CSUSM's job placement rate for new grads?

I just wanted to ask if there have been any updates about Summer 2020 being online given the covid19 outbreak?
I haven't heard any new updates about Summer classes specifically, but all classes for main campus and temecula should be remaining online until further instruction. As of right now, I'm pretty sure the rest of Spring semester will stay online (correct me if I'm wrong). Hope everyone is staying safe while getting their Complio requirements done ?
