Hi all, anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Fall of 2021?
I think my overall points are between 40-41, do you think it's a safe score? I was wondering if I should take the TEAS exam again, I got 80.7, but I'm completely exhausted. I completed all the 8 prerequisites courses and TEAS in only 12 months and I need some rest, LOL

All classes for Summer are filling up super fast (I have registration times for all SD colleges). I am registered for micro w/ UCSD ($900) just in case, but because it is in quarterly system, it will delay me getting my results in August. This in turn might stop me from being considered for SP'22. Has anyone else struggled with not getting into prereq classes? If so, how did you manage not to pull your hair out in chunks? : /
If I’m not mistaken, aren’t Summer ‘21 classes still online due to covid at most places? And won’t online labs taken during Summer ‘21 still be accepted towards the prereq requirement? If both these things are true, then you can apply to microbio classes in community colleges out of the SD area. Check Assist to see what schools CSUSM has agreements with and what microbio classes they accept (or just make sure it’s a 5 unit microbio class w/ lab), then check if the class is online and has spots open and if the ratemyprofessor ratings for the teacher are good. You may be able to find a course cheaper than $900 too, but IDK. An example class is BIOL 4 from Mission College (in the Bay Area)
just wanted to add in and drop this super helpful resource I used to get all my prereqs done. you can search for ANY course at all of the California CC's and use dates for when they start/end. it even shows if there are available seats and whatnot. classes are still online due to covid so you can take them anywhere: just apply for the school and make sure to add the school to your FAFSA list to get funding.
hope this helps goodluck errybody ?
I forgot to mention this is my earlier post, but if you do look into a class at a school out of your immediate area: email the professor to make sure you won’t have to go to campus at all or ask if they can accommodate students out of the area.
I say this because for my online microbio class last Fall, we had to go to campus once before the semester started to pick up petri plates. This was fine because the school was close to me, but I just want you guys to be aware that even a totally online class may require you to visit campus once or twice! So double check with the prof!

That’s what I thought, @Finskaflicka also check San Mateo County Community Colleges, they had a lot of spots last Summer and fall.

Yes, send an updated official transcript to the school after your grades are posted for the ‘pending prereq’ class

I’m wondering if anyone knows whether the Summer ‘21 cohort has been filled up yet? Has anyone else received offers for a Summer start? I have 45 like @Rominha, so I figured I might have received an offer for a Summer start (I definitely would have considered it if I had gotten offered a spot!), but no dice yet ?
Hey, I recently was offered a spot for Summer 21 and I originally applied for fall. I submitted my application in the beginning of December but didn’t get my score sheet until this month. Shortly after they offered me a spot which I’ll be accepting! I also have 45 points

I also have not received an eval sheet yet. I submitted my app on February 22. However, there was some issue with my international transcript for my study abroad, so my app status didn’t change to completed application until march 8.

Hi sdougie90,
Are you British? Which Uni did you go to? I am Finnish, but went to De Montfort in Leicester.
