CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all, anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Fall of 2021? 

I think my overall points are between 40-41, do you think it's a safe score? I was wondering if I should take the TEAS exam again, I got 80.7, but I'm completely exhausted. I completed all the 8 prerequisites courses and TEAS in only 12 months and I need some rest, LOL

OMG, that’s awesome! Congrats on getting your eval! Hopefully that means we’ll all find out soon and not 12 weeks after the application deadline... which would put us at early June ???

I believe I submitted on March 9th so it was 8 weeks on the dot for me? Hoping you and everyone else gets it soon!

Im still waiting!! At this rate I’m going to have updated transcripts and a higher GPA to send in before I get my evaluation.

Hi all,

I submitted my application on 3/5 and I just emailed CSUSM to follow up and I was told that it’s now taking 12 weeks past the submission date to receive your evaluation.

If I took science prerequisites (ex. Physio) during undergrad and retake them at a community college, do they replace the grades with the new one or do they use both in the evaluation?

Hello everyone,

My application was considered completed mid February and I received my evaluation on 4/23. 36 points. Cutting it very close haha I think that's like the bottom of the accepted applicants pool for previous terms. Still hoping I have a chance. ?

With my evaluation sheet, I was informed that all admission decisions are made after the priority deadline.  Does anyone know when the "priority deadline" is exactly referring?  Also does anyone happen to know if CSUSM ABSN program allows deferring acceptance to the following term or for a year?  Thanks and good luck everyone!

I reached out to the school today about decisions. They said they're still working on evals and hope to have the 1st round of acceptances sent out in "a few weeks". Hopefully this means before the end of May as I know many of us are sitting on other offers or options...

At this rate I’m going to have updated transcripts before I get my eval... I’ll be done with 15 more units in 2 weeks.

@Finskaflicka I took Micro w/ Lab at UCSD Ext last Summer as I was concerned that with Covid I wouldn't be able to get it done. The cost wasn't fun, but I'm glad I opted for that route to complete it. In order to complete A&P I had to take them at different schools as well, Grossmont and City. Most people I know have had to jump around and work the waitlist to get the stuff they need. 

I will say the Micro class is quality I really learned a lot.

Hi Redivy (again),

I am trying to figure out the lab kit I need for the UCSD micro... there are no links/info provided (even in myUCSD) . I emailed the uni but haven't heard back yet. I am leaving the country in a few weeks and need to make sure I have everything ready as I will be gone until just 2 days before the class begins. Do you happen to remember where/ how to order the kit?
