  1. Oh thank you so much for this!!
  2. Oooh that is very helpful. Thank you so much! I gotta take care of childcare ?
  3. Thank you so much for this information! Do you or your friends happen to know around when (about how many months after starting the new grad residency program) the schedule became more consistent and the in person classes were done? Thank you! ?
  4. Awesome! I invited 5 (I think you can go back in and invite more unless all 3 references completed their surveys and Harver closed. My recruiter kept mine open until we got 4 surveys completed (she told me they prefer 3-4 for New grads) but maybe everything depends on the site and the recruiter you are working with. Did you receive the Harver email from a recruiter? He or she would be the one I think you would confirm with ? Good luck!!
  5. I am sorry.. I wholeheartedly trust that we will all find our starting places. Even if this application period did not work out for Sharp, once you pass the NCLEX, you will be that much stronger candidate for the upcoming rounds. I was told by a recruiter that there is always at least 1 person in each cohort that does not pass the NCLEX the first time. I was rejected from UCSD and Scripps without an interview. Getting an interview means your experience, any previous certification, and application are strong. ? I was told that no interview is ever wasted. You can do it!! Congratulations and thank you!! Looking forward to meeting you!
  6. I think they are still making decisions. I interviewed back in December and I was told then I wouldn't hear back until January. According to the New Grad info webinar, they plan to make decisions between January and March. So I think there is still time. If you haven't interviewed yet, I think it's okay to ask at the end of your interview what the best method of following up on their decision might be. They may let you know around when someone may contact you. But when it's about a week after when they said they may contact you, I think it's worth following up to let them know you are interested and ask about your status. I also got similar questions that Kyy and Nurse-ya posted for Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center ED. Good luck!! ?
  7. Best of luck to you both! ?
  8. Mine still says no tasks. hehe. Was your showing up under tasks? If so, did you get a notification email that you have a new task?
  9. Congratulations!! Which unit?? Me too! I am still waiting for an email about references.
  10. Congratulations!! What are the next steps for you now? ?
  11. Hello~ I am a nursing student in California. For a group presentation on a current bill in my nursing leadership course, I created a short (5 questions) survey for your feedback. Will you help out a nursing student and take my quick survey on the National Nursing Workforce Center Act of 2023 please? ? I will collect responses until the end of Friday 8/4/2023. Thank you so much for your time and feedback. ? **No personal information is collected.** 1. Are you familiar with H.R. 2411/S. 1150: National Nursing Workforce Center Act of 2023 bill? (please respond Yes or No) 2. Do you think it will be effective or ineffective as a solution to nursing shortage crisis? If you are not familiar with this bill, you can Google "Nursing Workforce Center Act 1 Page Sheet" and the top few responses should lead you to the correct site. (Please respond Effective or Ineffective) 3. If you are or work in California, did you know California has a State Nurse Workforce Center? If you are in another state, do you know how to find out if your state has a workforce center? You can type the following address in your search engine toolbar to find out more: https://nursingworkforcecenters.org/location-map/.(Please respond with CA or non CA and Yes or No) 4. In your experience, what do you think contributes to the nursing shortage crisis? 5. Lastly, what advice would you like to share with the nursing students in my cohort who are eager to work yet learning about how much challenge and sacrifice this field brings? Thank you for time and participating in this survey! ?
  12. Definitely double check with the office. I've had questions about my status changing or not being updated right away and they were more than happy to explain. ?
  13. Hi there! Once the applicant is admitted and the applicant submits his/her intent to enroll and pays the enrollment fee, the admissions counselor sends out an email with instructions on how to make an account for American Databank (the website mentioned above). It keeps track of all the requirements that must be met before the 1st day of the program. However because some immunizations are given in series (MMR and Hep B), the office told me that I can be "temporarily compliant" while I get those shots and immunity tests done even after the start of the program. If you have been accepted for Spring 2022 already and are just waiting for the school to email you the instructions, you can consider the following steps while waiting: -make an appointment with your PCP for an annual exam to be held sometime in early or mid January 2022. (A form needs to be signed by them) -gather your immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, Covid, flu). If you've received MMR, Varicella, and Hep B shots before, the school wants titer tests done to confirm immunity. If the immunity results show negative or equivocal, they want you to get the shots again. ? this is the case for me for MMR and Hep B.. sigh.. (you might be able to ask your PCP to order the titer tests and necessary shots without going in for an appointment). I asked my PCP in the past about the titer tests and explained they were for applying to a nursing program and she ordered them. - You also need to be tested for TB (PPD skin test or blood QuantiFeron test). I have had positive TB skin test before due to having received BCG shot when I was a kid so I also needed to submit a questionnaire, Quantiferon result, and chest XR. - everything else I think is doable within... a few weeks. There are forms that need to be read and signed, a couple of online modules and so on. - as soon as you receive the instructions on how to get started on American Databank ("Complio"), you order and pay for the package that includes background check and drug screening. Other than the requirements on Complio... I think we have to register for an online orientation, which I heard we might receive an email about closer to the beginning of the program. If you haven't heard back from the school yet, don't give up. ? It doesn't hurt to follow up with the admissions office once in awhile too. Even if this Spring 2022 doesn't work out, your application will still be considered for Summer 2022 and Fall 2022. I didn't get into the cohort that I applied for. Good luck! ?
  14. Yay!!! Congratulations!
