CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all, anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Fall of 2021?

I think my overall points are between 40-41, do you think it's a safe score? I was wondering if I should take the TEAS exam again, I got 80.7, but I'm completely exhausted. I completed all the 8 prerequisites courses and TEAS in only 12 months and I need some rest, LOL

Hey guys! I just got offered a spot for Summer 2021. I already accepted a seat at another school so I won't be taking it. Hope everyone hears back soon and I wish you all the best of luck!!

Congratulations! Do you by chance mind sharing what your points/stats are?

I think it’s 50 points, but let’s wait for @Mil14 to confirm.

Commenting to stay on the thread! Best of luck to everyone ??

Thank you! I had 50 points (97.3 TEAS, 4.0 prereqs, and 3.95 last 60 units).

Also to answer another question, I believe that they used to do interviews for the ABSN program but now they no longer do!

I went to San Marcos for undergrad and they really do have a great nursing program! Fingers crossed for everyone?

Thank you for the info on the interviews! Now I can temporarily dye my hair pink before the term☺️

Thank you @Mil14 for replying!

I applied to the Summer 2021 cohort with 41 points and haven't been admitted yet. When I spoke with Krysti a couple of months ago, she said that I would be considered for the fall 2021 cohort. Do any of you know if it's difficult to be admitted the second time around with my points?

I saw on the Summer 2021 thread people that were admitted with 34-35 points. So, I believe that you have good chances for fall cohort.

As @Rominha said according to past statistics I think you have a great shot! San Marcos keeps applications on file for a year and applicants are supposedly considered for all cohorts. So technically it's not even like you're applying a second time around, just being considered for the next cohort (which doesn't lower your chances at all if that's what you were asking). Hopefully you'll get some good news soon!

Hey guys! I just got offered a spot for Summer 2021, but since I live in Oceanside I would prefer to attend San Marcos campus which is closer to home and cuts down on commute time. I have 45 points and hope I can be admitted for the fall 2021 cohort because my priority is to start my ABSN program this year. What you guys think?

Can anyone tell me when the Summer and fall sessions actually start?

@Rominha congrats on the acceptance. Definitely a decision to consider. If I didn't live in Alpine I would certainly start in the Summer to get on with it. So anxious and excited to start LOL

@nattherat according to the 2021-2022 academic calendar Summer term starts June 7 for the 10 week term. Fall starts August 30.

Hello all~ is anyone else still waiting to get their score back? My application was considered completed mid February and I’m currently waiting to hear back with my score. ? I am planning on following up next week but wanted to check if I’m the only one waiting to hear back. Good luck everyone and congratulations to those already accepted.
