CSUSM ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all, anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Fall of 2021? 

I think my overall points are between 40-41, do you think it's a safe score? I was wondering if I should take the TEAS exam again, I got 80.7, but I'm completely exhausted. I completed all the 8 prerequisites courses and TEAS in only 12 months and I need some rest, LOL

Hi everyone, I also applied for the ABSN on 9th of March ? 

I was wondering if anyone who sent in their transcripts to [email protected] still had their MyCSUSM application status as "Incomplete" ? I've tried to email [email protected] to let them know that my transcripts had been sent before the deadline, but I keep getting sent to different departments and have gotten no solid answer as to where they are. Is there a phone number I can call instead of emailing?

Hi there! When you go to your "to-do list" in the student center does it show that your transcripts have been received? If not, then your status will still say incomplete. If they've all been received and you have no "to do" items then you might reach out to Krysti and ask what's up.

My application accidentally had another school listed that they wanted a transcript for that I never input, so I had to get it deleted. Then mine went to Complete.

Thanks for your reply! yea it basically says please submit official transcripts by this deadline (10th March) amongst other forms about California residency, which are not due till June. I just want to know where my transcripts are because they have been sent to the places where they told us to send them to, so I'm like ?  Is Krysti an extended learning staff? And do you mind sharing with me her contact details?

In regards to my post above ⬆️, my issue has been solved. My application now says "complete" ✌️

Just an update on the evaluation sheet!

I'm almost at the 9 week mark. I just got an update from Jane that they received a significant number of applications and I won't be getting my evaluation for another week or two :(

@tkd72 Definitely not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for sharing the update. I hate this limbo waiting period for both the score sheets and decisions. Do we think that this will delay their target of end of April for those decision letters? Probably...

Quick question -  I have applied for Fall (August) 2021 but have not yet sat the TEAS exam.  Does anyone know if it has to be completed before the March deadline or before August start?

My understanding is this exam must be taken before the March deadline as it is one of the 3 areas with which they score and base admission decisions on. During the info session I attended these were the bullet points for Admission Requirements:

  • BA from accredited school
  • Min. GPA 2.5 in last 60 units
  • Min. GPA 2.75 in Pre-Nursing Core
  • Completion of lower division required courses
  • Passage of the TEAS exam with a minimum 71%
  • Official transcripts from all institutions

If you want to be considered for fall I would take the test and get the scores sent over asap otherwise your app may roll into the Spring cohort review.

Got my scoresheet back today. 8 weeks to the day.

Score 41.

It’s been 9 weeks now and I’m still waiting for the scoresheet. I’m an international student, are there any other international students still waiting?

STATS:

- Pre-req GPA 4.0
- Last 60 units GPA 3.86
- TEAS 93.3%

I still haven’t got mine but I submitted my application the first week of March so I’m sure mine is wayyyyy behind yours.
