CSUSM ABSN Fall 2019

Hi everyone! I've been following a lot of the previous threads for CSUSM's ABSN program. I'm finally ready to apply for the Fall 2019 semester, so I figured I should start this thread and talk to the rest of you who are in the same boat! :) I currently just have to take the TEAS, which I'm signed up to take next week! Has anyone already submitted their apps yet?

Also keep in mind if you have very good points you can still be admitted right up to the start of term. As people change their minds or withdraw for various reasons they’ll fill their spots with applicants with the highest points. So, I applied for Fall but I’m hoping I can squeeze into the summer cohort. They still haven’t done a points evaluation though for me so we’ll see.

Have you gotten your evaluation yet? If so, how long did it take?

@coco1320 I was really surprised, it took no time at all. Submitted my application on the 6th but still had one more transcript missing. Transcript arrived I think on the 12th or so at which point my application was complete. Got my evaluation on the 26th.

@polyacik @futurernmelne Thank you both! Hoping mine is done soon, I just passed the 5 wk mark and I'm getting soo impatient haha

I received my evaluation this morning, but the "total points" section at the bottom is blank. Is this where the points should be? Am I just looking in the wrong spot?

Have you finished all of your courses, are do you still have courses in progress? They will not assign you points until you have completed all of the prerequisites.

Yes all are complete/none in progress & all the course requirements are marked as ‘met’ on the sheet

I would email them and tell them that the total points section was left blank. I'm sure they will correct it and send you a new eval sheet quickly!

thank you! i already did, just wanted to check with you all to make sure that i wasn't just looking at the wrong thing or something else silly!

Hi all,

Checked in with my counselor today regarding the admissions timeline (I am applying for some stuff and really want to have an official acceptance letter earlier rather than later) and was told they are hoping to start sending out initial acceptances first or second week of April. Not much longer now! Good luck to everyone.

question-- where can we find out who our assigned counselor is? Is it on the myCSUSM portal? Thanks!
