Effective Fall 2018, Sac State is changing their Selection Criteria for Admissions into the BSN program. I've created this thread for those folks that are planning on applying Fall 2018 to ask questions, share their thoughts, etc. I'm interested to know if the changes make it easier or harder to get accepted. I myself was planning on applying Fall 2018 but may decide to apply Spring 2018 if it's "easier" before the new changes are put into effect.
The selection criteria changes include NEW:
 Admission Point Assignments
 Minimum Admission Point Total
 Minimum Science GPA
 Adjusted Nursing GPA
 Standard Units
 Repeat Policy
 TEAS Points
 Optional Criteria Points

The whole process of getting started is going to be VERY overwhelming. Staff, faculty and upper cohorts are extremely helpful and generous.Take it one day at a time, and good luck!
Sorry if you have already gone over this, but can you tell us what the first semester schedule is like? Is it five days a week? Is it one day of clinicals? I am just curious what to expect. Thank you so much!
I'm moving to Sacramento and I'm curious as to which housing is the best choice in terms of cost and distance to the nursing building? Feel free to recommend any place :-). I am not that familiar with the area.
Try apartments like The Phoenix, The Elements, and The foundations! They are probably the closest options to the school of Nursing (Folsom hall) and they are all pretty popular. You could also look for homes, rooms, and other apartment complexes near "campus commons" or off of la riviera drive. If you type those two things in online a few options should pop up.
I'm selling my lease I signed for next year at The Elements apartments if you're interested! Its a 4 bed 2 bath. I really like the elements, I stay there with my friends all the time. The reason Im selling my lease is because I decided to move in with family to save money on housing. Best of luck finding housing no matter where you end up! :)

Hi! Thanks so much for the info. Will definitely look into all of those places you mentioned. Right now, I'm still undecided because my parents are suggesting for me to live on-campus. However, I know it's a little bit more price than the off-campus locations. I'm all about saving money as much as I can ðŸ˜
Anyone know if there's a date for when registration opens?
You have to check your sac state Student Center online! Next to your account balance, on the right hand side you'll see a blue box labeled Enrollement Date where it says "You may begin enrolling for the Fall 2018 Regular Academic Session on ___" for example, mine is on June 5th.
