Effective Fall 2018, Sac State is changing their Selection Criteria for Admissions into the BSN program. I've created this thread for those folks that are planning on applying Fall 2018 to ask questions, share their thoughts, etc. I'm interested to know if the changes make it easier or harder to get accepted. I myself was planning on applying Fall 2018 but may decide to apply Spring 2018 if it's "easier" before the new changes are put into effect.
The selection criteria changes include NEW:
 Admission Point Assignments
 Minimum Admission Point Total
 Minimum Science GPA
 Adjusted Nursing GPA
 Standard Units
 Repeat Policy
 TEAS Points
 Optional Criteria Points

I am confused as to when we will know if we have been admitted to the university. Being admitted to the university was dependent on being admitted to the nursing program. Then the letter we got telling us we got in says being admitted to the nursing program is dependent on successful admission to the university. I accepted my seat but haven't received anything saying I have been accepted to the university. Hope that makes sense! Thank you!!
Congratulations to alternates 1-9 for being admitted to the program! Only 16 more to go for me! Keeping my fingers crossed!! Any other alternates in here waiting to hear??
I'm waiting to hear from Teri as well! I'm 5 seats away from getting admitted. From the previous stats, it seems we both have a high chance of getting in.

Have you checked: student center -> application status?
Hoping to hear something around May 2nd. I've seen that in previous years, alternates 20-30 hear back around then.
That would be AMAZING!!! We are so close in numbers, I'm hoping we both get in. A friend of mine just graduated from sac state nursing and she told me the biggest piece of advice for the first semester was to form groups and study together for the exams. I hope we can all meet up and form a group! I know nursing school is going to be insane, but it will be easier if we all help each other!
