  1. @chimichanga, Congrats!!! I made a Facebook page for our cohort, if you want to join. It is called "Sac State Nursing Class of Spring 2020"
  2. @chimichanga96, You will get in! I'm rooting for you!:)
  3. Hi guys, I just created the group on Facebook. It is called "Sac State Nursing Class of Spring 2020". You guys can go ahead and join. As of now, this group is only for students who are admitted. If you are an alternate and you get into the program, feel free to join the group.
  4. Hi guys, I think it'd be a good idea to create a Facebook page for our cohort. Thoughts?
  5. Hi guys, I also got accepted and am planning to move to Sacramento in the fall. I am looking for roommates, if any of you are interested. Girls only.
  6. I am in!!!!!! Congratulations and look forward to meeting you all!!!!
  7. I agree. The criteria seems to be skewed and even though I did make the cut off point, I still don't think the criteria is fair. It is ridiculous that students with 4.0s and scored 90s in their Teas are barely making the cut off point. It's not fair that almost everybody can apply with a 4.0 now. I actually worked my butt off to get a 4.0 but now students can apply with a 4.0 even if they got 1 or 2 Bs. Maybe they should get rid of that, because I can almost guarantee that most of the applicants applied with 4.0(adjusted nursing gpa). I definitely think that the criteria needs to be reevaluated because I see alot of issues with it.
  8. We are just speculating because we were technically supposed to get the preliminary stats, 2 weeks ago. Also, I remember Fall of 2017, I remember getting an email saying from Terri stating that it's better to apply for Spring 2018, because they are expecting a large pool of applicants for Fall 2018. However, I couldn't apply for Spring because I had too many pre-reqs in progress. They must have had alot of applicants because the School of Nursing is technically 2 weeks behind on our decisions. That's the only explanation I can think of. Also, I think the online format makes it easier for more people to apply. It's more convenient, even for people who may live further away,so that could also explain why there are more applicants. I hope we get some sort of information this Friday. It's giving me alot of anxiety.
  9. I'm just finishing up my Micro, that was the only pre-req I had. However, I will be changing my major to Nutrition and then go the PA route if I do not get accepted.
  10. @Chimichanga96, I agree. I really need to know if I got in or not, because I need to change my major and then pick classes for the summer or fall. I have a hold on my account because I'm a Pre-Nursing Major and have completed over 65 units. This situation is scaring me because it seems the applicant pool was much larger this semester!I am also just playing the waiting game at this point, there's not much we can do right now!
  11. I totally understand. I wanted to save up money as well, but it's best to just stay there, if I get accepted. I was wondering what the average rent is like for apartments near Sac State, if it's okay to ask.
  12. It could be earlier next week or we might just have to wait till next Friday. Yes, the official email will most likely be delayed as well now.
  13. Same here, but it looks like we might end up waiting another week. It might be due to the large number of applicants. I'm getting anxious as well. I need to know if I got in as soon as possible, because if I didn't I have to change my major and sign up for classes in the summer and fall.
  14. I really do not want to wait another week! The wait is agonizing!
  15. Im with all of you guys! I can't wait to find out the preliminary stats!
