Hi Everyone! I was searching around and couldn't seem to find a thread for the spring and fall 2016 ABSN program at CSUN. Hopefully we can use this thread to talk to and support each other as we go on this crazy journey
@laluna_26 I applied for the Summer start of 2016 and turned in my last final transcripts by hand in early January. The portal was just updated for me within the last 2 days to reflect that all of my transcripts have been received. I called them about a week ago in a panic as to why it was still showing missing transcripts and the man in admissions told me they just take a while to be entered into the system. Strange that it took so long when I walked them in and watched someone open and enter them, but I guess it is what is it. Things seem to move slowly over at CSUN as far as the application/acceptance is concerned...
Hello RNtobe2016.....disregard my previous message about PM,because I just read that I have to post 15 times in order to have that access....with that said, i want it to ask about the requirements when you get into the program.. I'm shooting way high, but i have a overseas vacation plan for the month of may and I just want to get myself as ready as possible before hand,in case I get into the summer session, because reading previous posts, some individuals got into summer, but they applied for fall....i read on csun absn site that we will need cpr, fire safety card, and many others, but for those that I mentioned, can I get certified on my own already? Or the school will give me specific location to get certified? I'm currently a public health specialist,so any certificate will be usable...so to get it now will check off some to do items on my list.Thank you!
Sorry for the delay. It's been busy. Yes, you can get certified on your own, but I highly recommend getting your CPR from AHA, as it is accepted by manyny, if not most places.

@1508_j Yes same as the application. I possibly may do the same just to be safe. Thanks.
