Hi Everyone! I was searching around and couldn't seem to find a thread for the spring and fall 2016 ABSN program at CSUN. Hopefully we can use this thread to talk to and support each other as we go on this crazy journey :D

Hello, I'm still waiting on a response from CSUN aS well. Apparently, someone received an email from Csun stating that they received her application. I turned in my application a few weeks before the deadline and I still haven't received any type of email like that . :/

I have receive an email from CSUN admission department about 2 month ago, stating that my application has been submitted and I have been admitted to CSUN . BUt I have not heard anything from Nursing department yet.

This is the email I received a couple days ago

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for applying to the Accelerated Bachelors of Nursing (ABSN) program at California State University, Northridge. We have received your ABSN application for either the Summer/ Fall 2016 semester.

All applicants will be notified of their application status via email by March 30, 2016. Check your Spam/Junk Box as well as your Inbox for our email.

Deadline to submit and additional paperwork to complete your application is February 15, 2016. Anything postmarked after February 15, 2016 will not be accepted.

Please Note: Admission to the Nursing program is contingent on receiving an acceptance letter from the Department of Nursing. Acceptance letter sent by the University does not guarantee admissions the ABSN program. Acceptance emails will be sent out by [email protected]

Once again, thank you for your interest in our ABSN program.

After speaking with you yesterday, I got an email from CSUN stating that they have received my application. :)

Hi! I also received that same automated email with the subject "Application Received," but it doesn't mention if they have all the documents. Did anyone send transcripts in December and it still shows them as pending on mycsun portal?

hello! i submitted my final transcript for the in-progress classes about 2 weeks ago but has not gotten any confirmation that they received my transcript either. Have you tried calling the school? i tried calling but they are not picking up.

I live close by,so I drop my transcripts off to them. If it says in you csun portal that they are still missing your transcripts this could be because:

1. if you mailed your transcripts to Nursing department , it will take them couple of month before they will share your transcripts with Admission department . Admission department are they one who posts information on your mission document in you csun portal.

2. But if you mailed your transcripts to Admissions, than it will take some time until they will enter these transcripts into the system. ( it took them about 3 weeks, until they entered mine).

Nursing and admission departments are separated and it takes them a while to share information such as transcripts with each other.

I sent my final transcript on Dec. 20th and emailed them on Jan. 4th. This was their response, "It takes 4-6 weeks to receive transcripts. Once your application is processed you will receive an email from the department." If the status on mycsun portal does not change, I will give them a call/email before the Feb. 15th deadline.

My mycsun portal shows that I have submitted all my transcripts, but it has been like this even before i still had in-progress classes. I am wondering whether the department of nursing would send us confirmation if they received the final transcript since I sent the transcript directly to them. But i will give them a call to make sure.

I have done the same thing. Recently, I dropped of my official transcript with a complete classes that were in progress. I have not heard anything from them yet. I called them, and they said "if there is anything missing , they will contact you ", but no conformation emails were sent to me either :(
