CSUN ABSN 2015

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

Hello everyone! Congrats to those who already got accepted into the ABSN program at CSUN! And those (including myself): Don't lose hope just yet! I have a question for those who got accepted. My CSUN portal looks like I'm in the school (CSUN). It says "You are a Graduate for the Fall Semester 2015. Your residency status is Resident. You have indicated the following major(s), minor(s), certificate(s): Pre-Nursing (Major)". Accepted students: did your portal look like this before getting an email from the Nursing dept?

My portal says the same thing, and I have yet to be accepted. It's quite misleading isn't it? It looks like I'm all set to go for fall!

Mine says the same thing!!! I have the Student category and it says I'm a Graduate for Fall semester 2015 with my major as Pre-nursing. Does this mean we're in!!??? This roller coaster is torturous!!!

I just called they said they're still sending acceptances this week and also next week.

department acceptance and university acceptance is different. University checks if you meet the minimum requirements. I actually didn't get provisionally accepted before I got my nursing dept acceptance because I didn't have a final transcript w my bachelor's degree conferred.

Orientation for summer session is scheduled for April 14.

I just called they said they're still sending acceptances this week and also next week.

I thought that this week was the end of our wait :/ Did you ask them about the change in the portal?

Even though I've already been accepted, my portal still says the same thing that you are all saying. It says your major is pre-nursing because that's what we all indicated on our application.

Hey everyone! I had 2 updates on my portal today and had a few questions. Under my checklist, I am still listed as provisionally accepted.

1. But now under REGISTRATION it says "Before registering for classes, you must resolve any Registration hold(s). Registration holds appear in the Incomplete Tasks section"

2. Then in the INCOMPLETE TASKS and now in my holds on my student center it says "Fall 2015 - Advisement Required in Major"

does anyone else have this and know what that means?
