CSUN ABSN 2015

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

I took microbiology and chemistry (integrated Chem) at Moorpark College. I took anatomy and physiology at CSUN. My hardest class was my Chem class because we had a difficult teacher. It took a lot of dedication, as it does with all the science classes, but I made it through! I wish you the best of luck with your future application 😊

Hi all,

I also applied to the ABSN program at CSUN. I have been more of a spectator on this forum but I am wondering...am I the only one hasn't HEARD ANYTHING from the Nursing department. I am a student at CSUN and I have been going to the Nursing department to constantly ask about my application but I haven't gotten a straight forward answer yet. Anyone going through the same? Thanks

I think csun absn are very tactful in answering question. The worst is being on wait list or not heard anything like your case.

Please, does any person know if CSUN ABSN has finished admission for Fall cohort; or are they going to let us know that 2015 wait list, acceptance and denial have been concluded.

oh I stayed on their backs till they told me the truth. I didn't get in. However, I got in to an entry-level masters FNP at Azusa and also ABSN at Cal state San Marco. At least I have somewhere to go for the fall. If you haven't heard back by time...the chances of getting in are so low, there are none. Call them to see if they have your email address written down right coz that is the problem I had..they had messed up my email address.

I recommend calling the department office. Sometimes they won't answer the first time you call, but keep trying. I'm sorry they haven't informed you of your status by now.

Called csun today, and they said that they have not concluded their fall cohort selection. That those on the wait list should keep their fingers cross. I do not know if my waiting will be in vain. One thing clear to me is that the chances of getting in are increasingly rare. Friends, do you think that one may still get a spot?

additionally, does anyone have any idea about the discontinuation of the program for 2017?
