CSUN ABSN 2015

Published

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

Hi ivanna! can you give me the link for fall cohort?

Sorry, just seeing this! Were you able to find it?

Does anyone know the deadline to accept the FA offer?

Hi, when I got my letter, they gave me a week to accept my seat. They did state the date specifically in the letter. Did you get in? Congratulations!!!

Hi Summer Cohort! Can I please be added to the FB page: [email protected].

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say congrats to everyone who's put in so much hard work into their studies and getting to this level of even being able to apply for this program! Wishing everyone who has been accepted, denied, and still waiting to hear the best of luck in your future careers wherever it may lead!

I've literally just read all 614 comments the past hour or so! I felt adrenaline pumping as I eagerly waited for the next person to post an update of acceptance or not! My heart goes out to all of you. This is so intense.

I have a BS in Business and am looking into getting prerequisites done hopefully this next year. I want to apply for 2016 fall cohort. But, that may be ambitious, seeing that I have no science prerequisites done.

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can take all prerequisites at valley college? I tried looking up course names but the numbers differed on most and nursing department hasn't answered the last 2 days when I called. Or, if anyone could tell me where they got their prerequisites done in LA. I I was thinking CSUN was a choice but would rather go to a community college to lower cost. Thank you for any responses in advance! And, good luck to everyone accepted, denied, and waiting! Good things are coming for you all in many different ways! Cheers!

I went to Moorpark college in Simi Valley, and it's was great! But you might want something closer.

Hello,

After months of trying to contact the nursing department at CSUN, I finally just called admissions and found out TODAY that I am admitted to the absn program for Fall 2015. Apparently the nursing department has had some communication difficulty. Anyhow, I am trying to gain more information about the program. I understand that it is 15 months- but does anyone have an actual calendar?

I am so thrilled to be attending but need to get my plans in order. My facebook name is tijaa and I would love to see this power point.

Thanks!

Neguine, thanks! I will try to check that out. Might be a bit far. Thank you for your response! Congrats, tija!

Congrats on your acceptance! On Facebook just search: CSUN ABSN Fall 2015. Our cohort hasn't had orientation yet, but it's tentatively scheduled for June 4th 😊

Thank you Elizabeth, but the facebook page is a closed group and doesn't appear when I search for it. My facebook email is [email protected].

How did you find out about orientation?

Thanks.

On Facebook just search: CSUN ABSN Fall 2015.

They emailed us the tentative orientation date a while ago.

I went to various community colleges to finish my pre req's: LA Mission, Pierce, & West Los Angeles. The science pre req's are the hardest to get in. There are so many people trying to take them. I only went to West Los Angeles because it was actually open for anatomy. Microbio, chem, and physio at Mission. My non science pre req's were taken at Mission & Pierce

Hello! Thank you so much. I wish you the best with your application. When taking prerequisites, CSUN will accept ones from colleges they are articulated with. You can check these courses through Welcome to ASSIST. You enter CSUN and the college you want to take a course at and it will tell you which ones are equivalent.
