Hello everyone! Congrats to those who already got accepted into the ABSN program at CSUN! And those (including myself): Don't lose hope just yet! I have a question for those who got accepted. My CSUN portal looks like I'm in the school (CSUN). It says "You are a Graduate for the Fall Semester 2015. Your residency status is Resident. You have indicated the following major(s), minor(s), certificate(s): Pre-Nursing (Major)". Accepted students: did your portal look like this before getting an email from the Nursing dept?

Hello! Yes, that's how my portal is as well. I was told by admissions that once we've been accepted into the program, the Nursing Department will have the major changed to just reflect "nursing." Also, I know that second bachelor's are classified as "Graduate" at CSUN.

Even though I've already been accepted, my portal still says the same thing that you are all saying. It says your major is pre-nursing because that's what we all indicated on our application.

This suspense is awful. And to top it off, hearing that this may go into next week is disheartening. I hope we aren't anxiously awaiting rejections...

If that's the case though, I've for sure learned my lesson and will apply to more than one school this next round.

Yeah, I've already looked into them and know where I'll be applying come fall if I'm rejected. The thing is I'm not being overly confident in thinking I'm good enough to get into CSUN. I have a great application and that's part of what's so frustrating. If I don't get in I honestly think it's because I wrote a bold personal statement.

Here's to tomorrow you guys!! :) I'm gonna try to relax a little and enjoy my week.

Take courage, friends! Some already received denial letters so if you haven't, there's still hope. :) My wish is that all of us will eventually get into nursing programs, whether at CSUN or somewhere else. Good luck!
