Hi everyone! As CSU applications open up, I wanted to start a thread for all of my fellow pre-nursing students looking to transfer to CSULB!

I was in the morning Zoom. At the end of the Zoom, I saw there were 52 total and I think there was 1 faculty (maybe 2) on. The other staff was still in break out rooms discussing the interviews.

They said it will take 3-4 weeks before we receive decisions! I think it's an over-estimate. I hope we hear back soon!

How did everyone feel about the communication exercise? I’m honestly surprised that there wasn’t going to be more activities and chances to talk!

Based on what I’ve read, before the pandemic, I think they used to make you solve a hands-on puzzle with someone else and you had to tell them how to put the pieces together. And that was your “speaking” activity and how they evaluated your ability to communicate verbally. Honestly I’m sad that I didn’t get to experience that, because it sounds fun!

Same exact situation in the afternoon Zoom, so I think they invited about 100 peeps to the communication exercise. IIRC someone said in the Spring ‘21 thread that they received their acceptance email as early as 2-3 weeks after the exercise.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel. I think I did okay on the writing portion, but I don't know if my interview answer was good enough ? I guess all we can do is wait...

Did anybody receive an email about a re interview? Nancy emailed me that there will be a re-interview of applicants tomorrow at 9:00 am and the admission committee requested to re-interview me.

Just so everybody know I think I did bad at the interview yesterday morning. Maybe the admissions are giving me a second chance? I don't know, I am nervous. Please let me know if anyone got an invitation for re-interview session.

Hey! Sorry I did not but you should definitely take this as a second opportunity to show them that you’ve got what it takes to be in their program! I’ve seen someone on a past thread receive the same type of email so I don’t think you should be worried. If you don’t mind me asking, how many sentences did you write for each prompt?

Unfortunately not. I emailed [email protected] (the email address that admissions originally gave me to contact the SON) and never heard back. Not sure how to feel at this point haha

I did 4 for the first one and three for the second. I feel like I did bad on the writing prompts since I was super nervous. Wby?
