CSULB Fall 2015 Applicants-Basic BSN

I am extremely surprised there isn't a thread that exists for students applying to CSU LB for Fall 2015!!

Here are my stats, but enlighten me on one part, what does the general gpa consist of? I actually went to CSULB and met Monalisa, but she said the nursing program only looks at eight classes... Maybe I should call to reassure how they calculate the cummulative GPA, but my other scores are set.

Science GPA: 4.0: 4

TEAS Math: 100 : 2

TEAS Overall: (90.7x2)100:1.814

GE GPA: TBA

So far so good, but being that a 3.0 is the cut off gpa for general and science for the program I am giving myself a 3.0/2= 1.5 as a score and my points would be a 9.314 as a default. Hopefully it will be higher.

Hi guys! I'm a student at CSULB and I just got my invitation to the communication exercise as well at around 2pm this afternoon. My score was definitely on the low end, so I think I will end up being an alternate but I am still feeling very very fortunate and excited to have made it this far!! My score was :

97% TEAS math : 1.94

88% overall TEAS : 1.76

4.0 GE : 2.0

4.0 science with Anatomy in progress : 3.53

Overall : 9.2

I am in group A for the communication exercise at 9am. Good luck to everyone!

Hey,

I also received an invitation to the communication exercise too, :) but I will need to call tomorrow to set up an appointment. Since the email said the interview is about an hour long, do any of you know if the appointments are just done on the hour?

Yea my score was 9.24 and I have micro in progress. I think only Csulb students are considered for alternates. I could be wrong.

Are you guys sure you calculated your scores correctly? I scored a 9.2 as well but I did not receive anything :c

I got an invitation email to interview as well. Just came on here to get an idea of what the communication exercise will be like. It sounds like a group interview?

My total score is 9.615:

Science GPA - 4.0 - 4 points

General prereq GPA - 3.71 - 1.855 points

TEAS Math adjusted individual score - 96.7 - 1.934 points

TEAS Overall adjusted individual score - 91.3 - 1.826 points

I already have a bachelor's degree in Psychology. If I get in, I'm hoping to win the lottery for the Trimester program just to speed things along.

Does anyone know where we're meeting for the interview? Sorry,I forgot to ask, but I asked a friend and they said between the Nursing building, can anyone else confirm that? Thanks in advance!

So happy to find this forum! I just received my email for the communication exercise. I made my appointment for 11 on March 4th. So excited! :)

These are my stats:

TEAS Math score - 96.7 - 1.93 points

TEAS Overall score - 93.3 - 1.87 points

Total score: 9.77
