CSULB Fall 2015 Applicants-Basic BSN

Published

I am extremely surprised there isn't a thread that exists for students applying to CSU LB for Fall 2015!!

Here are my stats, but enlighten me on one part, what does the general gpa consist of? I actually went to CSULB and met Monalisa, but she said the nursing program only looks at eight classes... Maybe I should call to reassure how they calculate the cummulative GPA, but my other scores are set.

Science GPA: 4.0: 4

TEAS Math: 100 : 2

TEAS Overall: (90.7x2)100:1.814

GE GPA: TBA

So far so good, but being that a 3.0 is the cut off gpa for general and science for the program I am giving myself a 3.0/2= 1.5 as a score and my points would be a 9.314 as a default. Hopefully it will be higher.

Hey all! Excited to see this thread. I'm a hopeful transfer!

Here are my stats:

Science GPA: 4.0 = 4 points

GE GPA: 4.0 = 2 points

TEAS Overall: 91.3% = 1.83 points

TEAS Math: 90.0% = 1.8 points

Total: 9.63

I made my appointment for 11 on March 4th.

I did as well, Cassib! Group C at 11. Best of luck!

I'm a bit worried.. do they always send an email saying they received your application? I sent my application by mail..

I would assume they would. I mailed mine as well (with delivery confirmation) and I got an email about 4 days after they received my application.

@hazelmazel, your stats look awesome! I'm sure you will get accepted. I'm in group B!

Hey guys, I am a bit worried on the fact some of you have received an invitation to a communication exercise. I am from the Bay Area and I have not received an invitation to a communication exercise yet. However, they did send me two emails confirming they got my application. Do you guys think they will still send out more emails regarding the communication exercise? Are they sending emails in batches? If you are a current CSULB, can you ask the cut off for this year? Below are my stats:

Science GPA - 4.0 - 4 points

General prereq GPA - 4.0 - 2 points

TEAS Math score - 90.0 - 1.8 points

TEAS Overall score - 82.7 - 1.654 points

Total score: 9.454

I am in the same boat as you. I have a 9.47 and I have not received an email yet. Hoping to hear from them soon. :banghead:

To those who haven't heard, I suggest you call the office on Monday. From what I heard last week when I called and spoke with the coordinator, all invites were sent out... so no interview invite means the individual did not make the first cut. Just relaying info I've been given. I wish you guys the best!!

*I may have been passed wrong info and if so, please feel free to correct me.

did you check your spam folder? From your score, I'd think you should've gotten one.

It's at the nursing building. =]

yeah, i checked my spam folder, my trash folder, my whole gmail... nothing. I thought I scored high enough, but I guess not.

I did find it odd that they sent me two confirmation emails that they received my application and it has been logged in. Did anyone else get two confirmation emails?

If possible, can you ask if there is only going to be one day of communication exercises or will there be more later?

Anyways, good luck!

The communication exercise is only on March 4th from 8 am to 4 pm at the Nursing building. Did the coordinator send rejection letters too?

Anybody else here on the forums going in at 4pm?

Are you planning to call the office this morning?

I am in the same boat as you are, and I am quite worried and curious why I haven't received the invitation to the communication exercise.
