Hey Casey, As a transfer student you need to apply to the university first then to the nursing program. You need to do your research and know the different deadlines for each school you plan to apply to. Moreover, you need to note the different requirements necessary for each school. On the other hand, SJSU requires all applicants to take the WST before applying to the nursing program. This writing exam determines if you need to take 100W your first semester or not. Therefore, register early for the WST and do not forget to take it. I had friends that did not have the opportunity to apply to SJSU Nursing Program due to the fact they misunderstood if WST was required or not. (The WST can only be taken at SJSU.) The best advice I can give to you right now is keep your grades up and try to score high on your TEAS and pass the WST if you plan to go to SJSU. Good luck! On a side note, I also transferred from Ohlone College. I hope you had Kauffman, she was a great teacher!

I am on the waitlist. I did not hear anything though...

I am going to the last mandatory in August... Haha. And I think we are able to register for classes during the initial orientation and the new student workshop for the nursing program we find out more information about nursing stuff... That's my guess. I would bring all the documents you might need when you go to orientation -- nursing acceptance letter, that calendar sample of nursing classes, etc. To the people that turned in a check for the intent, has your check been cashed in yet?

Well I have the 4 classes plus the 100w. I think my schedule is full. Haha. For transfer students, we don't register for classes until orientation right?

I think it is safe to say you can open it. They want you to actually keep a copy. And they have copies as well.

I think we need to just see our doctors and update our shots

I received an email from the nursing department (specifically from ---------------------) saying I was on the waitlisted. I don't think the web portal will reflect that... It will stay on pending.

So... is tomorrow going to be the day we will know? Lol.

So I was tired of waiting and called both the nursing program and admission office. The Nursing Program told me transfer students will be notified by Monday and to keep checking webportal. However, the admission office told me nursing students won't know until mid-May and will extend the intent to enroll deadline to June. We will never know... This is getting really frustrating. lol. If anyone wants to double check this information, please feel free to do so. Good luck guys!
