  1. Information packets have been sent out for accepted students. The first mandatory orientation is on Tuesday, July 14 from 11-4. Look forward to meeting you all!
  2. Anyones status on GET go from "Admitted" back to "incomplete"?
  3. Honestly, it really comes down to money and location. I don't have any extra cash saved to live near campus for CSULB so I'd have to commute. From the greater LA area the commute isn't too bad, but if you're leaving long beach in the late afternoon/evening it's probably 2+ hours commuting. Personally, the only reason I would choose CSULB would be the trimester program. The NCLEX passing rates are a non-factor because in the end it depends on the student. They are both great programs with the general consensus that most view CSULB a little more favorably but I know a few CSULA students that enjoyed the program there. Those same students got hired at great hospitals such as CHLA, UCLA, Cedars, and USC. If you're looking at graduate school afterwards, CSULB is probably a better choice since they don't run a +/- grading system. In the end just go with the program you think you'll be happiest with.
  4. It looks like I'm going to be giving up my spot at CSULB for CSULA so hopefully someone here on the wait-list gets some good news soon.
  5. I'm a transfer and I have not heard anything or received any emails from CSULA admissions regarding admission to the actual school itself. I tried logging in to see if I could even pay the deposit and I can't even log in. I'm guessing until we receive the official acceptance to the school we're sort of in limbo. Has anyone sent in Final Transcripts to CSULA? I didn't even send transcripts during general admissions back in february since we didn't need to.
  6. Yeah, I think I am going to go to CSULA too. I think both programs are really comparable but the commute to CSULA is like 5 mins for me plus I can save a lot on housing costs. Some of the clinical sites for CSULB are far too; I know that one of the sites is all the way in laguna nigel. Commuting that 3+ times a week would suck.
  7. For the people that were accepted, are you guys aiming for trimester or just the regular semester schedule?
  8. I got in! Now I have to make a decision between CSULB or CSULA (Two Year program vs. really short commute)
  9. For those transferring from a community college, are you guys sending in "CSU-GE Certified Transcripts" or just regular official transcripts?
  10. Congrats! I also got my acceptance email as well. Everyone check your emails!
  11. Anybody else here on the forums going in at 4pm?
  12. Hey everyone! Here are my stats: Overall GPA: = 5 pts Prereq GPA: = 10 pts TEAS Reading - 5 pts TEAS English/Grammar -5 pts Total = 25 pts Just sent in my app by mail today. I'm completing a CNA program right now, so if I get some work experience I may be able to add a few points before the march deadline. Hope everyone gets in!
  13. Yeah, I just spoke to her. She stated the cut-off was 9.32. She said it was very competitive and that a high math and overall TEAS score was important as math average was 96% and overall TEAS scores were 89%+.
  14. Yeah I was denied to (9.29), just spoke to the SON co-ordinator and she confirmed to me the cut-off was 9.32
  15. Jawkee - 9.83 Jay Friday - 9.63 Angel_12 - 9.31 Shinfo - 9.294 Tashiamevans - 9.24 Nairb0888 - 9.21 Zohyea - 8.11 Kevintheflip - Aynessaa - I have a 9.294 overall, so hopefully the spring cutoff isn't as high as 9.3 otherwise I'm probably on the wait-list. For future applicants reading this thread, take the TEAS as soon as you can so that you can allow yourself the 30 day waiting period to re-take the TEAS for a better score. I don't think there is a limit to the # of re-takes but you do have to wait the 30 days so plan ahead.
