CSULB BSN Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone, I was unable to find a thread with potential CSULB Spring transfers so I decided to start one. Hopefully, everyone is just as excited as I am :) I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am currently wrapping up Micro. I plan on taking TEAS The end of may or early June and if I am unsatisfied with my results I will retake them in July. I would love to hear from other applicants! Good luck!!

If you aren't a CSULB student, I think you can do it when you start your semester at CSULB. I had some friends who transferred from another campus and took it during their first semester at CSULB.

Oh alright, thanks for the info! :)

@rachelchen I think you should call the school and ask about your position and points. I just called and she said she won't be sending anything until next week, but that confuses me since people who were admitted already said they received e-mails from the SON.

She said the cut-off for this spring was 9.36, and I'm 9th on the waitlist with a 9.28.

I received no email, so I called and she said I was #11 on the alternate list. I had a 9.27.

Does anyone know if they could be adding people from the alternate list after they get more funding like they did last semester?

Every time I have called so far there has been no answer ...

@Nurseob2be it's possible... but no confirmation yet. It does seem that their waitlist is abnormally long however the highest being 25 that I've seen. So maybe ?

I am not certain about the funding situation, but a friend told me that the emails were sent to 81 people.

@rachelchen

I hope your funding theory is correct, lol, but their pool stats from Spring 2018 did say that they had 223 qualified alternates (-.-), so who knows... but I don't think I'll hold my breath

@itmett

Thanks for letting us know! Did you and your friend get accepted? And did your friend hear that from the nursing dept? I think I saw around ~10 ppl here who said that they were accepted by the school and then there was not a lot of ppl in the FB page so I assumed that CSULB sent out the top ~30 acceptances first... but since hearing that the acceptances email were already sent out, I'm probably wrong lol

Hi everyone, I have a score of 9.47 (not including the communication exercise points). I still have not heard anything back from the SON concerning my admission status. CSULB sent me an email saying that I was waitlisted to the university (I'm a transfer), and to send my AP scores and transcripts asap. My scores have been received but I'm still waiting for my transcripts to be accepted. Should I be concerned? Should I call the SON about my status or should I wait until after my transcripts go through?

You should call and ask tomorrow. SON said the cut-off was 9.36 so you should have been accepted. I'd call and ask them how they calculated your points to be sure there was no error from their side; maybe you calculated them wrong?

In my opinion, you should definitely contact SON. Apparently the cutoff this semester is 9.36 so you have made that cutoff mark if you calculated your points correctly. Let us know how it goes!

She said the email she received contained 80 other recipients. I unfortunately didn't get an email

Does anyone have the orientation date yet? For the SON in particular. I know the SOAR date is in January before school and you can register for that already. the registration date for the next GPE is Jan. 25th.
