  1. The major pro of being in semester is that you have the summer off, so that you can have that break to return back to life/family/work/etc. However, you graduate later than the trimester cohort. I believe you'll be in the program for around 2 1/2 years. The major pro of being in trimester is that you graduate quicker. You're only in the program for about 1 1/2 years. Another pro is that trimester people often remain in the same hospital throughout the entire program so they can get used to being at that facility instead of being switched around to different hospitals every semester like semester people usually have to do. Major drawback though is that there's no summer. i guess some people prefer this because they can quickly finish the five semesters, but i know some people were afraid of being burned out if they were put in the trimester program. When my cohort did orientation, we had no dress code. Some people showed up in casual wear, some people showed up in formal clothes. However, we did get to try on uniforms at the very end of the orientation to find our ideal size, so I'd recommend not wearing something that requires a lot of effort to take off/put back on. ?
  2. Anyone who's currently in the program know if it's absolutely necessary to have a car in the first semester? I was planning on dorming on campus and taking an Uber/public transportation, but orientation emphasized the importance of having a car.
  3. The January 11 deadline is mentioned on the contract we had to sign for them, which says "Completion of health compliance tracker documents by set deadlines. Your annual documents must be completed by January 11, 2019 and your background check must be done by November 21, 2018." I was also under the assumption that's the deadline for all those documents they listed out for us.
  4. Do you guys know what we're supposed to do once our background check for CastleBranch is done? I know the email says the "Deadline November 21st," but are we supposed to send it to them or are we just waiting until further instruction?
  5. Are you already a CSULB student? Because we might be getting these emails and requests on our to-do lists on myCSULB because we're transfer students.
  6. Also, for anyone planning to dorm on campus, housing applications opened today in case you didn't know !
  7. I ordered (paper) transcripts on Nov 1 and my to-do list still hasn't been updated. I checked last semester's thread and a bunch of people had a similar problem with transcripts. Apparently people's to-do lists were showing their transcripts weren't received even after the deadline, so hopefully this is nothing we have to stress about.
  8. I just checked and I believe January 25th is the deadline to register for the next GPE. The actual test day is February 16th GPE, CSULB :)
  9. Oh alright, thanks for the info! :)
  10. Have you guys done the GPE requirement yet for CSULB? When are we supposed to do it if we haven't done it yet?
  11. I received my acceptance letter today as well and I applied with 80 points! I'm going to decline the offer though, so good luck to anyone who's an alternate :)
  12. Just received the acceptance email from CSULB today, but nothing from the SON yet.
  13. Transfer. At least I am. I got to check by using the Applicant Self Service and it said I was offered admission to CSULB.
  14. This worked, thanks for the tip!
  15. Same thing for me. I'm guessing we'll just have to wait until they send official e-mails, maybe
