CSULB BSN Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone, I was unable to find a thread with potential CSULB Spring transfers so I decided to start one. Hopefully, everyone is just as excited as I am :) I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am currently wrapping up Micro. I plan on taking TEAS The end of may or early June and if I am unsatisfied with my results I will retake them in July. I would love to hear from other applicants! Good luck!!

I didnt know there were two diff ones! I only heard about the Soar

And reg starts that day or is that the next specific test date?

Also were we supp to be recieving letters mailed home?

So Registration for the GPE exam starts on Jan 25.

Go to this site, and on the upper right it will say registration and that's where you will register when it opens

GPE, CSULB

And yes I believe there are two separate orientations. The Nursing one is in early December which they mentioned at the communication exercise, they will annouce the date soon (hopefully)... The SOAR one is open to registration and you can do that through MyCSULB in the student center. The bottom next to your application and term, there are options for registration.

I just checked and I believe January 25th is the deadline to register for the next GPE. The actual test day is February 16th GPE, CSULB :)

I think you guys are getting the e-mail for orientation this week. When I called to ask about my position on the waitlist, she mentioned that she didn't send anything yet because she doesn't know which room it will be held in. She said you'd get it either Tuesday or Wednesday most likely, and I'm pretty sure she said the orientation date was December 15th (don't quote me on that though).

I sent my transcripts last week and was wondering how long it takes them to process them. My AP scores were taken off my to do list but official transcripts are stil there.

Ahhh I'm in the same boat as you. I sent my official transcripts Nov 2 (expedited) the day I was informed I was accepted. They said not to send them before you were requested... which I never was. I emailed them last week to see if they received them and they said they didn't and that it can take up to two weeks to process them. However, on the to do list they are due Nov 15. I'm going to call them later today to see if they have them and what happens if they aren't processed by the 15th.

I just checked the status of mine too, and was also going to call! Do you mind telling us what they say? Because I'm worried!

10 minutes on hold to have a minute long conversation. I was told that if they are postmarked by the 15th it's fine since they can take up to two weeks to process them. Ahhhh this is so annoying. I wish they accepted e-transcripts... at least I would know that they were sent/arrived the day of. I also got an email today saying they need all documents by Nov 6 or they are going to withdraw admission. Of course I don't think that's going to happen, but it makes me a bit worried about the transcripts.

I believe they do accept them electronically. They said that was okay when I called them the last time.

Yeah, I just saw the email you can send electronic transcripts to on their graduate admissions website, but it doesn't show up as an option on credential solutions (the transcript service my school uses). There is an option to send an electronic copy to any address you put in so I might do that just to be safe.

I ordered (paper) transcripts on Nov 1 and my to-do list still hasn't been updated.

I checked last semester's thread and a bunch of people had a similar problem with transcripts. Apparently people's to-do lists were showing their transcripts weren't received even after the deadline, so hopefully this is nothing we have to stress about.

Also, for anyone planning to dorm on campus, housing applications opened today in case you didn't know !
