Hello everyone, I was unable to find a thread with potential CSULB Spring transfers so I decided to start one. Hopefully, everyone is just as excited as I am :) I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am currently wrapping up Micro. I plan on taking TEAS The end of may or early June and if I am unsatisfied with my results I will retake them in July. I would love to hear from other applicants! Good luck!!
It would delay your ability to participate in courses that have a clinical component (meaning you spend time at facility, like a hospital), but it should not affect your ability to attend non-clinical classes like pharmacology and pathophysiology or nutrition. It is unclear to me if NSRG-200 Foundations of Professional Nursing has a clinical component or not (I suspect it does not).
It is quite possible that the first semester of the program does not have any coursework that contains clinicals [perhaps a current student could verify that]. If our first semester is indeed clinical-free than I suspect SoN will grant you enough time to complete the Hep B vaccination series. I would start the series ASAP!
Do you guys know what we're supposed to do once our background check for CastleBranch is done? I know the email says the "Deadline November 21st," but are we supposed to send it to them or are we just waiting until further instruction?
My understanding is that the Nov. 21st deadline is for purchasing the background check and that the results will be sent to the school directly. Don't quote me on it though.
To my CSULB students on this forum: were you able to declare your major? And were you able to enroll into your classes?
No to both. In the Student Center, clinking on the Open Enrollment Dates link just gives me an error message:
"You do not have access to enrollment at this time."
Also, did you mean to write "To my fellow CSULB students..." ? For a minute I thought you were SoN faculty trying to find out why her classes weren't getting enrollment.

I hve a question regarding the vaccines. If we dont have say the Hep B vaccine which is a 3 shot series over 6 months. Are we not allowed into the program until the 6 months?
