I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!
I applied to CSULB and CSULA only. As for first choice, I'm not sure. I'm leaning towards CSULB because I always wanted to go there since their Nursing program is pretty hard to get into. Only downfall is the commute of 40+ minutes where I'm from.I did get accepted into CSULB though! They sent out their letters for the "interview/communication activity" yesterday.
Cut off was at 9.45/10 and they are admitting 80 for Fall 2016.
Congrats!! I'm sure you're in. My friend got the interview/communication exercise email too! Everyone pretty much have LB as their first choice so yay you're almost there :) Given that it's probably one of the hardest schools to get into, what an honor!
I just wanna hear something from LA already, last year they kinda sent out rejection mid-March no?

Beginning of APRIL :)
Yeah, if your friend asks Monalisa over the phone, she will tell you what rank she is. I barely made it at 74th of 80. I heard about 120 gets interviewed but 80 are already technically admitted.

Omg how exciting! If you get the official acceptance soon, you think you'll have enough time to wait for LA's email? Ugh the wait is too long.
I would expect them to mail it to us (as how they did in the previous years), but I don't remember providing them my address (please correct me on this). Although I remember them mentioning how they will never inform anybody of their status via phone so that's out of the question. I'll ask Monica on that.
Does anyone know how they're informing us of admission or rejection? I assume email or phone since we didn't submit any return envelopes, but just wanted some clarification.
Lurked around last year's thread and this was about the time they sent out rejection letters .
Curious to how they will inform us as well since on our applications we did provide an address(checked) or simple email. I would have thought with this new system they would have done it faster; however that is not the case.

They're going to inform us via email. That's what Monica Ling said. The wait is torture!
I I thought the new system would speed things up too! I even think there may have been less applicants because of the new system.
